The journey felt like it took hours. Y/N and her escorts all strapped into the side of the Quin Jet, barely speaking a word. She didn't know how far away they were or how long it had been, she checked the apple style watch on her wrist that Daisy had given her. She said it would 'keep us in contact' and 'let me know if you are in trouble' So Y/N wore it without hesitation, but it had been out of range for hours now. Once a black cloth bag was placed over her head, she knew they were near. The Quin jet boarded outside the Avengers Compound, and they all got off, Y/N was guided down by an officer who stood closely next to her.
"Is this really necessary?" She argued, although no one answered, she continued. "I failed Geography; I wouldn't even be able to tell someone where this is."
As she spoke, the bag was taken off her head to reveal the white, crème and grey facility she would be spending her upcoming months in. In front of her stood Tony Stark and Captain America, again. The official who had come with Y/N explained the situation to the two men before Tony looked to Y/N.
"Have we met before? I recognize your face? Ah! You're the one on the news... The weather reporter!" He gasped, nodding to himself. Captain America, sighing and shaking his head.
"There hasn't been an active news channel in 2 years now, Tony"
Tony looked shocked as he tried to rack his thoughts before realizing, dramatically. "And that's because of people like you!" He pointed to Y/N. He wasn't wrong. Y/N had been a part of the partition, the people who thrived on the downfall of the nation.
Captain America swiftly intervened. "Welcome, we are glad to have you..."
He waited for Y/N to state her name, but she didn't. Y/N was still wary of them, she didn't know them. All she knew was the pain she had once felt when she believed them to be cowards. Whether she still thought that way, she couldn't figure out herself.
"Y/N Johnson." The main official next to her spoke.
"She's a mute? You bought us a mute! This is going to go swimmingly." Tony blurted out, Y/N scoffed and looked to her officials. "Thank you... You can go now." She reassured him, cockily, before stepping towards the Avengers in front of her.
"Let's begin," Captain America said jollily before the three walked into the compound. A short, but very long tour commenced. They walked Y/N through the compound, where the break room was, the training rooms, the kitchen/lounge and the hallway which behind every door was an Avenger's bedroom.
They finished the tour in the kitchen. Everything was white, the table glass and the chairs glossy. There was a breakfast bar, designated coffee and protein area. Enough food to feed a nation.
"So, this is where all the food supplies went." Y/N mumbled; Captain America caught her. "We didn't steal. We are in the same playing field as the nation, we just have... more. I'm Steve Rogers, by the way"
"I know who you are." Y/N mocked Steve with her tone.
As they entered the kitchen, a few of the other Avengers sat around, already catching the mini conversation which had just ensued with Y/N and Steve. They sensed the tension.
A smaller, slimmer and brown-haired boy shot up first. An awkward approach revealed it was no one other than "Peter Parker! Or Spider-Man if we are using made up names. You're-" He began blabbering before Tony cut him off. "Everyone, this is Y/N Johnson. She's from shield and will be staying here for the time being. She will be training with us, for a reason I don't know. There, introduced, no more of that..." He announced, batting away Peter's hand which was stern and ready for a handshake with Y/N, who didn't move a muscle.
A ginger woman, slim but athletic and seemingly powerful, made her way up. "Watch out for him," She simply spoke before walking right past the four of them and out of the kitchen. Peter still stood in front of Y/N with a smile on his face. Y/N widened her eyes and nodded to Peter, embarrassing him and causing him to walk out of the room also.
"The rest are either in the lab or training, so ill show you to your room, you can settle in before meeting the rest." Steve spoke, now guiding Y/N to her room. He walked faster than her and with more purpose, but then again, Y/N was walking and trying to take In her surroundings. She stared around, stepping on the back of his shoes when he came to a stop. She didn't apologize just made a slight groan as a sorry. "Here."
He opened the door to a large, bright room. The walls were slate grey, with windows framing most of it. The floor was a lighter slat grey colour and was made up of large tiles. A bed lay in the centre with white bedsheets and pillows, two white bedside tables with a lamp on. Other than that, the room was bare. Steve Rogers made a swift exit and left Y/N to herself.
Y/N kept the door open behind her, not thinking anything of it as she looked around the room. She didn't have anything with her, at all. As she began to realized, she had no clothes, Tony dropped a duffle bag at the door entrance.
"This came from a Daisy Johnson. I am assuming it's the clothes you didn't bring." He confidently spoke before walking off. "Don't ruin the paint work, it's new." He called down the hallway. Y/N picked up her bag and simply placed it in the wardrobe, she didn't bother to unpack it. She thought she wouldn't be here long, so what's the point?
She didn't bother to change out of her black military style black combat trousers, which seemed too big for her, meaning she tucked most of them in her combat black boots. A belt around her waist and a black tight fitted top. Over that, a simple shield jacket. Instead, she looked to her watch, starting to try to contact Daisy. They called for a few hours, chatting away, before Daisy had to go for a mission and the call came to an end. Y/N was sat on the edge of her new bed when a familiar but unfriendly voice chimed.
"Why is Shield here?" A voice asked, making Y/N look to her door. She stood up, ready to greet the person she knew the voice came from. A smile on her face as the red leather jacketed woman walked past her door, catching eyes. The woman backed up and went to the door. "Not you again." The Sokovian accent groaned.
"Me again." Y/N hummed before approaching the door where the other woman stood.
"So, you remember me now? I'm not surprised, I did kick your ass pretty well." The Avenger smirked.
"Its funny. As the others introduced themselves, I knew their names before they even told me. Who even are you?" Y/N scolded. "I'll just call you freak."
As the red magic began to appear and Y/Ns gun was pulled from her waist band, the ginger woman passed by again. "Give it a rest, both of you. Wanda, leave it" When neither followed the orders, the stern voice then turned into her barging in-between the two. "What is wrong with you both?!" She stood facing Wanda, her back to Y/N, who still pointed the gun. Wanda made the bullets shake out of Y/Ns gun with a small laugh. The ginger woman turned around.
"So your names, Wanda." Y/N mumbled as she pulled out two tasers in the shape of batons, one in each hand. Similar to those of Black Widows. "The fuck? You copied me?" The ginger woman, now known as Black Widow, spoke. As the fight was about to erupt, Tony Stark walked past.
"Ladies, Ladies! Let's not blow up the facility," He roared, pushing everyone away from one another.
Once again, Y/N was left alone in her bare room. The others had gone to bed, she assumed, and after laying in her bed for a few hours, she decided to wander around. By the early hours of the morning, she was training in one of the rooms.
