Rosé one shot

Start it over again pt.1

A/N: It's the nagging authornim again. Before you jump into the story, I just wanted to say that I feel bad for always making Rosé the 'bad' character so I decided to change something new in this story. Now you can go ahead and enjoy the story 😆

Y/N comes from a super strict family. That may be the cause why she has been developing unhealthy way of thinking. She will always think that she doesn't deserve this or that when in fact, she very well does.

Her parents are very controlling. Y/N has a curfew to go home at seven o'clock. She remembers when she accidentally broke the curfew once, her parents locked her up in the study room for the whole day. Hence, she has never tried to disobey her parents' rules, be it intentionally or not. Sometimes she doesn't even know which rule she has gone against when she gets a punishment.

Her parents often tells her to be humble, so humble to the point that she thinks that everything she has achieved today is just purely due to her luck. She never feels like she truly deserves all the so called achievements she has received, the top in academic, the role model of the whole cohort and even the cheerleader position she is holding now. Both teachers and her peers love her, but Y/N has never thought that she deserves any of that.

Above all, her parents has warned her one particular thing that she must not go against, if not she will never get the chance to go to cheerleading again. That's her only favourite thing, which also somehow is the only activity that her parents allow her to take part in. Anyway, she is strictly restricted from having a relationship. Ever since Y/N grows up, she has never gotten into any relationship. People did confess to her but Y/N would always reject them right away, like the obedient daughter that she is.

It doesn't mean that she doesn't want a relationship though. Just like any other girl who is going through their puberty, she too is curious about relationship. But she never has a genuine friend who is there to tell her how does it feel to have a relationship. Although she is well loved by everyone, but at the same time, she doesn't allow anyone to invade her private life. Hence, she has no friend, it's always home and school that she goes to, she has never hung out with anyone.

On the other hand, Roseanne, as known as the troublemaker in Y/N's class. She has never liked the way Y/N behave. Y/N looks too tense in her opinion. She doesn't understand why Y/N has to be so anxious all the time when she is literally doing fine with everything. She gossips about Y/N a lot. She just doesn't like her, or even, there is certain disgust she feels toward the innocent.

However, the two who are not supposed to cross each other's path are grouped in the same Science project group. Rosé can't even describe how much she hates this arrangement but her stubborn teacher just won't change her mind despite her asking her to change for multiple times. Out of no choice, she has to partner with who she views as a nerd in the end.

"Do you want to discuss together or split the work and do individually?"
Look, Rosé is not good at academic so there is no way she could finish her part of the project all by herself. Thus, working with Y/N seems like the only solution.

"The former,"
She replies nonchalantly.

"Okay then...do you have any suggestions on how to start?"

"No, not really,"
Rosé says mindlessly.

"Maybe let's just focus on the part where we need to analyse the body part first..."

Two hours later
Rosé can't count how many times she almost falls asleep. Eventually, she really does fall asleep, Y/N doesn't wake her up though. She figures out that it's the best if she could finish the whole project by herself, it's not like Rosé could provide any help so why bother.
