Just another sad story

A/N: You all are going to hate Y/N so much. Look, I actually understand. I am not gonna lie but Y/N is SUCH A BITCH. ☠️ But like I actually pity her at the same time. Well, just read it and you will understand!

Y/N and Rosé are cousin and they have been taken care by their grandmother since their parents are working oversea. They are really close to each other. Some even suspect that they are not just cousin anymore. The way they look at each other definitely tells people that they are something more than that.

"Just date her already,"
This is not the first time Lisa has told them that.

"We are cousin, idiot,"
Rosé rolls her eyes at the Thai and continues to interwine her hand with Y/N's.

"I want some ice cream later,"
Y/N says while leaning on Rosé's shoulder.

"I am craving for some too, we can share,"

"Sure, but I get to eat the first bite,"
Y/N chuckles.

"Fine,"
Rosé replies and leaves a soft peck on her forehead.

"And they say they are just cousin,"
Jennie remarks.

"We are just close,"
Rosé defends themselves again.

Y/N won't say anything when their friends joke about things like that. She quite enjoys the feeling of acting like a couple with Rosé. It gives her butterflies in her stomach. Though they haven't done anything overboard yet but Y/N knows they will get there eventually.

Later that night
"Rosie, your parents are coming back tomorrow,"
Their grandmother announces. Y/N hates it whenever her aunt and her uncle come back to Korea. It means that Rosé will be away from her for a while since they will be back to their own house instead.

"Oh, really?!"
Unlike Y/N, Rosé is excited for her parents' arrival. She last saw them about three months ago. She misses them so badly.

"Yea,"

"You must be happy,"
Y/N smiles.

"Of course, I miss them a lot,"

"That's great then,"

Rosé feels bad for Y/N though. She thought Y/N is bitter because her own parents only come back annually. So she hugs Y/N and pats on her head tenderly.

"It's okay. You know I am always here with you,"
Almost immediately, Y/N could feel her heart jumping rapidly and her face is blushing red. If anything, she loves Rosé even more than her parents. She can't even remember how they look like sometimes.

"I know,"
Y/N smiles genuinely this time. She doesn't need anyone else other than Rosé in her world.

1.03a.m.
In Rosé's room
Y/N knocks on her door lightly in the middle of the night. Rosé opens the door for her with her sleepy eyes and leans on the door lazily.

"I can't sleep,"

"Why?"
Rosé asks her concernedly.

"I missed my parents,"
Lie.

"Come in,"
Rosé allows Y/N to cuddle her to sleep for the night. It's not like they never just did it two days ago.

"Can you hug me tighter?"
Y/N asks. Being the kind and caring cousin that Rosé is, she tighten her hands around Y/N's waist and with this distance, she is able to smell Y/N's sweet vanilla scent. She can't help but to take in a few more sniffs.

"Unnie,"
Y/N doesn't usually call her unnie and when she does, it will be the death of Rosé.

"Yes?"
