Niall's POV

"And I'm cutting all ties." Skylar's last words to Ashlyn echoed in my head as I stared at her in shock.

Skylar ended the call, turning around. "Oh, hey," she said in a completely normal voice, as if she'd never had the phone call with Ashlyn at all.

"That's it?" I asked. "You're just cutting all ties if Emblem3 comes?"

"Of course," she scoffed. "It'll be better. I mean, you won't want to compete with Keaton and Wes, will you?"

"Not really," I admitted. "But I don't want to lose you either," I admitted.

Skylar smiled. "We'll see. I heard them fighting in the car over me though," she said, her smile vanishing.

I hugged her. "Skylar, you've got nothing to worry about. Just ignore them, and don't flirt back, or encourage them, and everything will work out."

She smiled, but I could tell it didn't really reach her eyes. "All right."

"SKYLAR!" Liam hollered, running up to us. "ASHLYN'S COMING BACK!"

"Who told you?" Skylar asked lightly.

"She called me after she finished talking to you," he said excitedly. "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!"

"She's dating Drew, you know," I reminded him. "And she's staying on their bus."

Liam's smile faded. "You know just how to turn a guy's feelings upside-down, don't you."

"Sorry," Skylar apologized. "I'm just not really psyched about them coming. I'd love to see Ashlyn and catch up with her, but there's that whole situation where there's not one but now three guys heading after me and probably going to send me home."

I sighed. "Skylar, just breathe. They won't be here 'til tomorrow."

Skylar threw her hands up in the air and walked out. "Give me a minute, Leppy."

"Is she all right?" Liam asked, concerned.

"She doesn't want the boys to come," I whispered. "I overheard her conversation with Ashlyn, she said that if the boys came then she would leave." I swallowed. "And cut all her ties."

"Will she really?" Liam's brown eyes widened.

"I hope not," I mumbled, not really knowing what was travelling through's Skylar's head.

Keaton's POV

"We're here!" I sang as we sat down at the gate at LAX.

"Wonderful," Ashlyn mumbled, sitting down next to Drew and pulling her snapback down low.

"Are you all right?" I asked her, to which I received a grunt and no actual spoken response.

I shrugged and turned to talk to Wes, only to remember we were fighting and not talking. I shifted back away from him uncomfortably.

Since Ashlyn's phone call last night to Skylar, things weren't exactly smooth between Wes and myself.

"Flight 149 with service to Montreal will be boarding first class passengers now," the flight attendant called. "Please gather your belongings and have your boarding passes and passports at hand."

We got up and headed for the attendant. When I got closer to her, I realized the attendant was only around Drew's age, maybe a year or two older. When she read my passport, her eyes grew wide, and she murmured, "I'm a big fan. Have a great trip in Montreal."

"Thanks," I said, grinning. See? One Direction isn't the only band that has fans anywhere.

I followed Drew, Wes, and Ashlyn onto the plane, where we sat down in our seats. Unfortunately, I had the pleasure of sitting next to Wes for an entire 5 and a half hours.
