"I'll stay here," Liam said. "I think he wants to see Skylar."

Harry considered this. "All right," he sighed. "C'mon, Sky."

I got up reluctantly and followed Harry down the hall. He knocked on a door. I took note of the room number: 201.

"Ni, it's me," Harry said.

Niall grunted. Harry took that as a 'come in', and opened the door, shoving me inside.

I stumbled in, regained my balance, and took one glance at Niall, lying on the bed hooked up to machines, before flinging myself onto him.

"I'm so, so, sorry!" I burst out.

Niall smiled sadly. "You're crushing me," he managed.

I climbed off of him. "Niall," I said quietly. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done what I did."

Niall just fixed his blue eyes onto mine. "..."

I rushed on: "It's just... when you kissed me the other day..." I bit my lip. "I didn't know it was because you truly cared about me. I thought it was because... you didn't want me to leave and you were desperate enough to try anything."

Niall swallowed, then coughed. "Tell me one thing," he said. "Wes?"

I sighed. "Nothing. Is. Going. On. Because..." I smirked, climbing on top of him, straddling him and putting my weight on my knees. "I happen to like someone else."

Niall's nervousness disappeared; replaced by cockiness. An expression I'd never seen him wear on his face. "Oh? And who is this... someone else?"

The smirk never left my face. "Would you like to find out?"

Niall lifted his head so that our noses were brushing. "As a matter of fact, I would love to."

Our lips met, and I have to be honest, I've never had a kiss that felt that... what was the word again?

Oh yeah.

Magical.

It could've gone a lot further; with me on top of him and the kiss deepening, but Harry cleared his throat and brought us back down to Earth.

I pulled away, and I'm pretty sure my face was just as red as Niall's. "Nothing happened," Niall blurted out.

Harry laughed, but it sounded wistful. Turns out it was. "Man, you never kissed me like that, Sky."

"To be honest it just never came up," I admitted, still smirking while I shrugged. "You want me to come over and try again?" I joked, pretending to climb off of Niall.

"No!" Niall said.

I turned and smiled at him. "Someone getting a little jealous?"

"More than a little," Niall mumbled.

Harry grinned. "It's about time," he said, smirking. "Been holding out, you two?"

"Was the whole point of dragging me in here to confess your love for me?" I asked Niall, my eyebrow raised. "Because if I'm not mistaken, I kissed you."

Niall shrugged. "You got me there. I don't know, but I just needed to hear your side of the story, because was I ever so crushed when you told me it was over. That was the hardest thing I've ever had to comprehend in my life."

"Harder than when you left me three years ago?" I asked.

Niall flinched. Then he said, quietly, "That was the worst mistake I'd ever made in my life. And I regretted it with every waking moment." He also got in my face, so that our noses were once again brushing and enunciating every syllable.
