Chapter 40

Kian's POV

Everyone looks so friendly here. We are eating in the pavilion with all the villagers. Do they really eat like this? I mean with all the neighbors?

"Our Miracle, you are looking great."
His grandfather complimented his looks. He then looked at me.
"Kian, right?"

"Yes, sir." I smiled at him.

"You look rich. From what family are you?" His grandfather asked me.

"Don't worry about him, Kian. He is just acting like a big-time grandfather here." Sir Miles told me. He looked at his dad then. "Don't be annoying, dad. That's Ira's boyfriend."

"Exactly! That is why I want to know him more." He looked at me. "So how long you've been in a relationship with our Ira?"

"3 months, sir." I confidently answered.

"Oh, it's just new." His grandfather is acting like a boss in the village. I think because he has a big-time backer.

He stopped what he is saying when Ira started feeding me again. Ira likes doing it. His grandfather is about to say something but he can't stop Ira so he just kept his mouth shut and opened another topic for discussion.

Ira is very expressive. He doesn't care about people looking. He is doing what he wants and that's what I love about him. I feel so special like I am the most important person to him.

They were just talking about their wine production while eating.

Jeha is already with us again since his one-month suspension has been lifted. He cannot be the main bodyguard for Ira for a month though so the twins are still following us. They are so strict. Everything they do goes by the book.

Ira told me that he and his mom need to talk for a while to plan the surprise wedding. He told me that it might take time and asked me to sleep first. I won't sleep. This is our second vacation and I want to see the whole village. I can just wait for him.

I was sitting on the pavilion when his grandfather sat beside me.
"You like Ira?"

What kind of question is that? Of course, I like him.

"Yes, I do."

"Thank you for loving him." His grandfather told me. "He is the kindest kid I know. When he was young, I always see him always taking care of his brothers. He is very sweet and thoughtful. I just hope you will never do anything to make him mad because it may turn out that he is the scariest Kirigun you'll ever meet. Do you believe that silent persons are scarier?"

Why am I having this feeling that he is threatening me about Ira's hidden personality?

"I won't ever dare to make him mad. Ira is my world."
Did I really say that? That Ira is my world? My love for him is unquestionable. There is no doubt to that.

Three old men arrived at the pavilion and organized the table. They put some goblets and food again. Sir Cade entered too.
"Are we going to start this early?" He asked.
Start what?

"Kian, can you please get the box placed in our living room and bring it here. You are the youngest so go and get it." His grandfather ordered.

Ice and Yohan are just watching a movie on the couch when I entered. I just took the box which seems to be so heavy.

"Good luck, Kian." Yohan didn't even spare a glance.

"See you tomorrow." Ice grinned.

I just ignored them. I texted Ira first that I'll be in the pavilion just in case he looks for me. He tends to be paranoid sometimes if I can't reply to his message and if he can't find me.
