Special Chapter 2 (after pregnancy)

Ira's POV

It's been a week since I woke up from my nightmare. In my dream, I saw my family grieving for my dad and me. It's so heartbreaking. I feel like I am being stabbed over and over. In that nightmare, my mom is holding my baby, and Kian is few meters away, crying alone. I feel like my heart is being pounded.
I want to hug him and tell him that I am here.

Dad is still not waking up.
I was able to touch my baby Aidan already, but we still feel incomplete. My grandparents are at home so that the Elites won't be scattered. This is the first time in years that our Elites are being exhausted and anxious like this.

The threat is so severe. It started since baby Aidan was around seven months in my tummy. It is still ongoing. Papa Kai is not functioning well. He was already old to be experiencing this. We can't talk to him. He was so busy along with my Uncle Mayka and other Elites planning to attack their base first.

Dad was shot in the head. The bullet passed from one side of the brain to another. They said there is a rare chance to survive. He was shot near the chest first. He was with mom that time, in front of the mansion, in front of the Elites. My mom asked for a walk to the convenience store. When they were near the gate, dad was shot. And even in that situation, he still managed to cover mom. He got another bullet to his brain.

I felt terrible for mom. Imagine having two unconscious patients in the home. He must be so scared.

"Do you think they know Kian? Even if he is my ex-boyfriend, they must have details about all of us already."

"No, they won't touch him. They know you ended up a relationship with him for almost a year already. They won't see him as someone valuable to us.. They can't touch us as long as we are all inside the mansion. The security system here is the tightest; no one can ever infiltrate. If you want, you can ask Kian to come here
But once he entered here, he will be an enemy too together with his family." Yohan told me. "Remember the spot where dad was shot. This is not a usual threat. They are big-time. Even my boyfriend has no time for me."

"Why are you scaring me?"

"I am answering your question."

Aidan was already seven months when Papa Kai told us that the situation was normal again. The first thing Ice did was to go to the house near us. I never thought he had friends in our place. There's a huge mansion near us. The last time I saw it, it was not that big. They managed to grow their empire probably.

"I am leaving next month. I'll let Kian visit his son before I bring Aidan in Australia."

"Focus on your studies and leave Aidan here. We can take care of him."
Mommy told me.

Dad is awake already, but he is still under bed rest, mom implemented.
Mom is taking care of him 24/7, even if he is already conscious for two months.

I saw Kian's post again about being weak even if he is trying. I checked his account, and I saw the picture of the baby's room again. He also posts clothes for six months old and baby toys with a caption, 'it passed 6 months already and still never used', 'Please even at least a minute, let me touch him.'

I am so sorry for hiding Aidan.
My original plan is to let you see him every Saturday because that is the initial Ira day, then I will hide in my room whenever you visit, but I can't risk your safety. After this, I will give you more time with our baby potato.

"Ira, why are you still not bringing Aidan to his father?"
It was dad. "Ask him to come here."

"Uhmmm, dad, this is just a sudden thought. Will you be mad if I leave Aidan to Kian?"

"You are the parents; decide what you think is better for your kid. And as for that, ask the father. If he can't take it because he is busy, then we are very much willing to take care of the baby."

I checked what he was doing thru Sam.
He said he was not going out of their house.

I know Kian, even if I felt like I wasn't prioritized before, he will be a good dad to Aidan. I think co-parenting will work for both of us.

I still want Kian, though. I want a second chance with him. This time, we will work hard for it, not because we have a son, but because we love each other so much.

I have decided, I will let him keep our baby and I will win him back no matter what.
