Kanesuki: Shut up both of you. Please. I can't sleep with all these notifications.

And that's how I woke up. At 3am.

I didn't reply to the chat, of course I didn't. That'd be like throwing gasoline on a fire.

Akari: YOYO IS AWAKE GUYS HEY YOYO

Chiyo: Do not call me that.

Kanesuki: Oh my fucking god.

Kanesuki: I'm putting my HandScout in the bathroom.

I followed Kanesuki's lead and discarded mine in the bathroom. I didn't get any sleep after that, so at around 5am I decided to get up and get dressed.

As I was looking myself in the mirror, straightening my shirt and tucking a long strand if hair behind my ear, a dark feeling came over me.

One I hadn't felt in a long time. Every small sound, every hint of movement, my head was turning.

I took a deep breath and left my bedroom, making my way to the restaurant and being sure to bring my HandScout.

The restaurant was dark, but the windows allowed for a blueish haze to gently light it.

The window Akari destroyed had been fixed, and I looked out on the mountain range. The nighttime snowstorm was still raging on, and so the windows were just large sheets of flickering white and grey tones.

I squinted my eyes, just able to see the glint of sunlight peeking through.

I sat at one of the booth seats next to the window, looking out on the darkened restaurant. I felt a calm feeling wash over me. I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee. Black. I never was one for fancy cappuccinos and sweeteners and creamer. Just black coffee.

I allowed myself some time to myself in somewhere other than my bedroom. It was nice and peaceful.

I finished my coffee and stood up to return to my room. As the restaurant was completely open into the hallway, I stopped when I saw a tall figure skulking past. It stopped, and when it glared at me through the corner of its eyes, I realised it was Ryozo. He grumbled to himself and kept walking.

What does he do all day? Where does he go?

Those questions didn't have the time to be answered, but the dark feeling enveloped me again. I chose not to return to my room. Despite the coffee, I was still incredibly tired.

The cold, dark restaurant provided a sense of comfort to me, and the window booth seat seemed more comfortable than my bed.

I sat for a while. It was nice. Eventually, I got so tired that I decided to lay my head in my crossed arms on the desk.
