Chapter 23

"Inaaaaaaaaa..."

"Urgh,one more minute please."

"Psssstttt,hey girlie!"

Ina turned around and covered her ears.It was a sunday afternoon and the weather had been dreadfully hot.She had planned to take a 25 minutes nap,but instead it turned out to be a 2 hours nap.

"Yoowhoooo Inaaa..."

Oh well....at least the weather is so much more cooler now....

"INA!"

"Huh? What what?"

Voices filled the room, or to be exact,her room.Ina rubbed her eyes and reached for her glasses.

"You got drool on your face,sweetcheeks."

Ina widen her eyes while quickly wiped her mouth,ran out of her room and into the bathroom.She glanced in the mirror and frowned.There was no drool on her face! 'Oh well,since I'm here,better freshen up.' Ina washed her face and brushed her teeth.But while she did that....'Why did those voices sound familiar?' She walked out of the bathroom and slowly creeped in.

"Where did you think she went?"

"Probably the bathroom"

"Yeah, and she's taking sooo longgg."

"Maybe she's taking a sh-"

"Okay that's enough." Ina interrupted and looked around.

"Over here,you silly apple!"

A high-pitched giggle reached her ears and she followed it....It was on the computer.

"You found us!" The same voice spoke.

"You guys!" Tears filled Ina's eyes and she quickly sat down on the chair.

"I missed you guys so much! It's been ages since we talked!" She rubbed her eyes and grinned

"We miss you too,dollface.You know....class is pretty boring without you.."

Ina giggled, "Everything and anything involving learning is boring for you,Hafeez."

"Yea but classes are.....extra boring?" Hafeez said with his eyebrows raised,looking confused

"I'll take that as a compliment."Ina smiled softly

"But I missed you the most!Did you know I didn't have any girls to talk to?" Sighed a hyper hijabi

"I missed you a lot too,Afsheen,I missed you too..."

"Hey can you guys give us a moment?"

"But whyyyy?" Afsheen whined.

"Please,Sheen?It won't take too long?"

"Alright,I'm right over there okay?" Afsheen pointed toward the back of the lens to where Ina cannot see.

"Thanks,Sheen."

"Yea,yea.Come on,Feez!" Afsheen grabbed Hafeez and dragged him away

"Hey Ina...!"

"Emman,how are you man?"

"Good," Emman gave a small smile and leaned forward,"better than last time."

Ina leaned forward and whispered, "That's good news.You made it this far,Emman.You can make it! I'm so proud of you! And remember,I'm here every step of the way!"

Emman grinned and let out a small laugh.He nodded and took out a worned out black coloured book.

"Remember this?"He showed Ina a drawing of a person.

"Yea,I remember that..." Ina nodded, "So where are you now?"

"Here." He pointed towards the hips of the drawing.

"That's good.You can beat it! I'm here for you!" She cheered

"I know...I wanted to say thanks and give you a hug but since you're over there...Thank you and uh..." Emman scratched the back of his neck "...I miss you."

Ina smiled," I missed you too."

"Are you guys done yet?" Interrupted Hafeez

"Pretty much....Sorry to keep you waiting,guys."

"Nah,it's okay.Anyways....Ina..."

"Yea?"

"How's the life over there?" Her three friends looked eager to find out about the American lifestyle

"It's.....different.." Ina looked outside her window,the sun was just about to set..

"In what way,sweetcheeks?"

"Um....in a good way...and bad..?" The last part came out like a question,as if Ina wasn't sure about it.

"You wanna talk about it?" Afsheen asked softly

"Not today,okay guys?I don't want to remember it..." But it was too late,the memory was refreshed on her mind.

"Ooookay then....." Hafeez and Emman both shared a look that was missed by the girls.

"So Ina..How's the school there? Any friends? Any hot dudes?" Afsheen wiggled her eyebrows suggestively

"It's different...like I said, there are lockers here! Oh and once the bells rings,we get to leave! We don't need to greet them!" Ina rambled

"Woah what? Really? Oh-em-gee! Tell us more!"

Ina giggled and told them every thing that was different from her old school.

"But...only the students here are a bit different..Over there....we are like a family,you know?" Ina's voice got softer and softer with every word. "And over here.....it's like...they like to see each other hurt...They don't care who they hurt or..anything.I thought they'll be different from what.."

"Like what he said..." Hafeez muttered

"Yea....I made friends,to answer to your question.And yea,they're nice and sweet.Even most of the time quite funny.But not that much hot dudes....sorry Sheen."

"Aw,that's too bad..Oh well..." Afsheen shrugged and waved the matter off

"But I wanna show you guys something! Or rather some people..Hold on,yea?I'll just grab my phone..." Ina grinned and walked away

As Ina was finding for her phone,her little sister entered her room.

"Oh-em-gee!Ana! Hello sweetie!" Afsheen gushed

"Hello,sissy's friends! I missed youuuu" Ana giggled

"We missed you too,princess." Hafeez winked

"How are you over there?Doing okay?" Emman asked

"I'm okie-dokie!" The little girl put two of her thumbs up and wiggled them

"That's good...you take care alright?"

"Okie Sheen!"

Ina found her phone and chased her sister out of her room.For the next two hours,she went on showing her new friends and catching up with her old ones.'This feels nice...to catch up and to let just laugh..I hope we would stay in touch and not drift away...'
