Chapter 16

Olivia's point of view (POV)

I waved over to Leo,Mateo and Dylan.

"Hey guys!"

They muttered their hellos and we walked in.Leo had somehow managed to persuade us to accompany him while he's being treated by someone.I think it's the fact he promised we would be too.We sat at our usual spot and Phil,the owner of the resturant and our close friend,greeted us,convincing me and Dylan to try his 'special' meatballs.

"No thanks,Phil.The last time I ate your meatballs,I kept seeing green."Dylan said,apologising.

"And you,girlie?"

"Umm.."I pondered hard and quick.Nope,I got nothing."If I try one..will you stop bothering me?"

"Sure,sure.Here."

"Let's get this over and done with."I muttered.I bit half of his meatballs and nearly gagged.

"How is it?"

"It's uh..different."I swallowed,noticing the exciting glint in his eyes.

"I take it as a good thing.Thanks Liv!"

I nodded stiffly.After he had walked away,I reached out for the nearest water bottle.

"Ugh never again."

The boys laughed at me and I glared at them.'How there they.Hmmpff.If they had to try,I'm sure they'll..'My train of thoughts was cut of by Leo.He stood up suddenly and started to wave madly to someone.Mateo had suspiciously received a text the same time a girl and a guy walk towards our table.

"Hey Ina..I see you bought a friend."

"I'm Alex.Her guy best friend.Nice to meet you."The guy,who was really well-built and huge,offered his hand to Leo.

"I'm Leo..Her new friend,I guess..And it's a pleasure."

The three of them took a seat.With Mateo,Dylan and Leo on one side and Me,Alex and the girl on the other.

"It's nice to see that Ina made a new friend.She's shy,you see."Alex said.

"I can see that."Leo grinned down to Ina,who blushed.

"Ahem."I coughed loudly,trying to remind Leo that he still had to introduce us.

"What?"Leo asked,confused.

"Ugh.. Since you're not going to introduce us to them...I'm Olivia...But you can call me Liv.."

"Dylan,I don't have a nickname so..yea.."Dylan piped

"And I'm Mateo.But just call me Teo."Mateo said,not looking up.

Ina quietly gasped,looking up to Alex.She struggled to breathe for a while before smiling nervously to me and Dylan.

"I..Uh..Nice m-meeting you all.."She stammered,obviously nervous.

'Awwwhh..'

"You don't need to be nervous.You don't have to."I smiled,trying to calm her down.

"You have to excuse her stammering,happens every once in a while..Like I said,she is a shy girl."Alex apologised

Dylan waved it off.I smiled inwardly,it seems like he's protective of her.Like an older brother.

"Alright,enough chit chatting!Ina,follow me!"Leo got up from the table and walked toward the cashier,with Ina behind him.

"So...how tell me about yourselves.."Alex began,smiling.

"Well..For starters,we're sort of like actors...."

"And..?"

A few minutes later,Dylan and Mateo was trying to make him believe that I almost set the whole set on fire!And Alex was laughing his butt off!

"I did not set it on fire!Even if I did,it'd be an accident!"

"Yea..just keep on believing that,Liv.Just keep on believing.."

"'Ello,'ello.You guys talking about Olivia and the fire eh?"

Soon after Leo had joined the conversation,it had become even more chaotic.In the end,I sort of confessed to shut them up.I didn't want to sit in slience so I started to crack a few jokes.A few minutes later,Ina came back with a tray of food.

"Here you go."She said,smiling softly.

We said our thanks and began to eat.I noticed that both Ina and Mateo were avoiding each other's eye contact.I shook it off,thinking that they were just shy.Then,Leo had to bring up the topic of our new found friends.He wanted to hear our first impression so I started first.

"Alex's awesome and funny."

Mateo nodded agreeing with me while Dylan described Alex as hilarious and well-built.As the others joked around about Alex's joke,I frowned slightly.This is where Mateo would make a sacrastic comment or something.Why is he not even saying anything?

"And what about Ina?"Leo asked,reminding us about her.

"She's shy and adorable.I'd always wanted an adorable friend!"Dylan smiled.

"If I were a guy,I'd probably date her.Maybe Teo would."I teased.

Mateo looked up,looked at Ina up and down and scoffed."Her?"He scoffed again,before continuing to text whoever he was texting.

"What's wrong with her?"Leo asked."If I were single I'd date her."

"What's wrong with her?Dude,c'mon just look at her.."

All at once the table silenced as they looked at Ina.She squirmed under our stares.

"And?"I demanded

Teo sighed and rolled his eyes."Well,first of all,look at her hair.It's all messy and not neat at all.Now look at her glasses,damn,those things are huge!Why can't you get lenses like everyone else?"

I glanced at Ina,whose eyes was slowly filing with tears.

"And plus,"Mateo continued,"she has no fashion sense.At all.An all t-shirt and jeans?That's all?C'mon you are a gurl,for heaven's sake!Wear a skirt or a dress or something!No...you just had to wear...that..."

A tear slid down Ina's cheek.From the corner of my eyes,I could see Alex clenching his fists.

"And her face.My god.Don't you ever wear make up?Damn.Wear something to cover your face up.If not make-up..wear a paper bag or something.At least then the world would be a less uglier place.Man,if I were her boyfriend.."He scoffed for the final time.."I'd be embarassed.."

That was all it took.All hell broke lose.Tears came pouring out of Ina's eyes.I glared at Mateo,who paid attention back to his phone.Dylan and Leo looked at Alex then to Ina then to Alex.Alex was..well..he was fumming.He was trying to control his breathing and was failing.His face was slightly red.Leo and Dylan rose quickly and dragged Alex away from the table.

I raised my arms to comfort Ina but she winced away.She open her mouth to say something but couldn't get it out.Instead,she wrote something on a piece of paper,crumpled it and threw it to Teo.He ignored it.She got up and walked away.I picked up the crumpled piece of paper and un-crumpled it.Wow.

Helloo!I decided to make a different sort of a chapter from someone's point of view.At first I tried to write from Mateo's point of view,but I decided I sucked at it and didn't really want to offend anyone with that..So yea..!Um hope you like this chapter.Less hate,more love x
