Ina's POV

The bell had rang earlier, signaling that school was over for the day. I glanced at a nearby wallclock and sighed while packing my books into my locker. Should've asked for his number the first place, so I would've time to catch up on my book.

But, nooo. He just had to walk away that fast. I slowly closed my locker and leaned against it. As I walked towards where I thought he would be, I started to think what happened this few weeks.

Let's see here..

Moved to a whole new country to escape a dead man, made new friends, developed a crush on a tvstar, he noticed - and made the best of out it (in an unfortunate way),randomly got a job from a unexpectedly famous woman who smells nice and is actually nice, the tvstar realised his mistake, and now I have a date.

Niiiiice.

I snapped myself away from my mental list of happenings, and looked around. Yup, here it is. But,eh? Where is he? I felt a frown starting to form. Ugh, this is frustrating. I took off my glasses and rubbed my eyes. And I'm so tired from all that walking and interacting. Who knew socializing needs a lot of work?

"Oi!" I jumped, accidentally dropping my glasses.

"Oh shit! I'm sorry... you alright, darlin' ?" A familiar voice asked.

"Uh... y-yea. Thanks Mateo.." I blushed, looking around at anywhere, anything but him, also cursing myself silently for stuttering.

"All's well, darlin'.. Who're you looking for?"

I looked up to his amused smirk, muttered out a quick but still soft 'you' and ducked my head.

"For...? Oh wait, that's right! My number! I forgot to give it to you. Here you go." He started to pull out a piece of paper from the back of his jeans.I quickly snatched my glasses from the floor and wore them.He was holding out the paper towards me now.

I held it and pulled it gently but to no avail. Giving him a confused stare, I continue to pull the small piece of paper towards me, but he had a firm hold on it.

"Eager, I see. But first..." He turned his head a bit, lowered his cheek and tapped it mockingly.

Again, I felt the heat rising to my cheeks. 'Oh no, not again' I groaned mentally. I stared at his face for a few moments. Should I..? I looked around quickly and saw that where we were standing, which was the particular carpark outside our school, was empty. I gave one last try to get the piece of paper, but again, failing. I sighed before pecking his cheek quickly.

He, thankfully didn't try anything else. Like turning his head when I leaned in. Or hold me tight or do something way more worse.

"Now that wasn't so bad, was it?"

---------------------------------------------------

His chuckle was still ringing in my mind by the time I asked my parents' permission for the date.

Of course, as any other normal caring parents, they asked a lot about him but, they eventually said yes. With under a condition. Thankfully. I texted Mateo later that night but he didn't reply. Hmm...maybe he's busy at the moment.

I called and told the Laila about my situation and told her to bring a friend along.

"...So it's like a double date?"

"Sort of..b-besides, that was the only way I could get my parents to say y-yes."

"Alright...but does he know?"

"I texted him,but he didn't reply..."

We discussed about the date, with of course, occasional fangirling and squealing moments from Laila. We said goodnight after nearly three hours of talking on the phone. It was already thursday, which means that the date will be tomorrow after school. Hmm...I wonder how will our date go?
