Chapter 21

Ina walked into school the following monday with her head down.She didn't feel like talking to anyone today.As she walked,she could hear the whispers of the other students.She could even feel their stares piercing her painfully.Ina started to hyperventilate.She wasn't used to ths kind of attention.She thought of her previous school.Back in her previous school,everyone knew each other pretty well and was friendly to each other,it wasn't the typical school,where everyone hated each other and backstab whenever they got the chance.

The seniors actually cared for their younger schoolmates.The younger schoolmates would actually get sad whenever the seniors would graduate....they were a big family.Most teachers were fun,they didn't have any problem with any most of the students back then.She missed her teachers,her ride-or-die friends,her annoying - but funny freshmen and sophomores and over protective seniors.She really missed them,if only she could-

"Hey,watch it!"

"Huh?O-oh I'm sorry..I.." Ina stammered.A familiar leather jacket was right in front of her face.'Oh no...please don't tell me..' She slowly looked up.

Mateo looked down on the girl that he bumped into.He raised an eyebrow before smirking.'Hey,she pretty cute....Wait what?'

"Hey...Ina right?"

"Uh....last time I checked,stupid.."She muttered

"What was that?"He snapped

"U-uh..n-nothing.."

God,how he love having this effect on girls."You sure sweetheart?Cause I thought I heard you say something else..."

Before Ina could say anything,she heard Ariel call her name.

"I-I have to go now...um..if you can just.."

"Sure...but first.."He started leaned down slowly.

Ina's breathing got shallower and shallower.Her mind replayed back the incident that had happen barely two weeks ago.Her eyes start to fill with tears as Mateo's lips got closer and closer.

"Stay still, querido.."

She start to whimper as his lips was just a fraction away from her skin.Out of the blue,Mateo was pulled back by someone.

"Stay the f*ck away from her,you dipsh!t.Haven't you done enough?"

Ina quickly pasted her eyes on the floor.She could hear Alex trying his best to not shout and attract the attention of any teachers or students nearby.The tears in her eyes were threatening to spill any second now.

"Chill man,I was just kidding.It was just a joke."

"A joke?Look at her,Mateo..Look at what your stupid little joke did!"Aex took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. "You ignored her,made fun of her and now you tried to kiss her?You know what I think?I think that the only joke here is you!"

Ina felt two arms grab her while slowly pulling her away from the scene.

"ALEX!Put him down this instant!" She could her Ariel's voice.

Ina could hear Hayley's trying to lead her away as quickly as possible.She heard Leo's voice trying to calm Alex down...again.Olivia started to apologize on behalf Mateo.The noises around her began to dull out and everything was a blur.Students had noticed what was going on and had gathered around them and was chanting 'Fight!Fight!' Soon she couldn't hear anything at all.She got away from the arms that were holding her and walked towards Alex.

She put a hand on Alex's arm and said,"It's okay,lex.I-I'm not hurt..And he's not w-worth it..."

"You sure?Cause I can easily beat his arse."

Ina gave him a weak smile before saying, "Y-yea....let's get to class...I don't want to be l-late.."

"Wait,Ina!" Ina stopped walking and turned around.It was Leo."...Look what Teo did back there.."

Ina gave a tight smile."It's nothing,Leo.I'll see you around.Olivia..."

Olivia waved to Ina and her group of friends.She turned to Lea and sighed.They gave each other a look and nodded in agreement.This is getting too far.
