Chapter 20

"For us to help, we would need your full cooperation Ken. You have to tell us everything that you know." Monk encouraged.

Ken gulped. "I told Yasu that I can't remember anything that may have caused this but I think it must have been because I was cursed."

"What do you mean by that?" Gene inquired.

"I think this things that has been happening to me was because of that night. Two of my friends and I went to this abandoned three story building in our University to cover a story for our Newspaper Club about the rumored ghost that has been haunting the place. Sometime after we published the story that we came up with the accidents occurred."

"Are you the only person affected?" Monk asked.

"I just spoked to Jun, Jun Yukihara, he is one of the two, he mentioned that he was also having this freak accidents in a while now and he thought he might have just been unlucky too. So far he had not incurred major injuries. He also mentioned that he had been seeing something and hearing voices too before it happens, just like mine."

"Something? Like what?" It was Yasu.

"I'm not really sure."

"How about the other one?" 

"Last I've heard from him was about two or three days ago. His name is Fin Devon, our Half-American exchange student friend. He mentioned that he is going with his girlfriend for a 3 day vacation since it's going to be a holiday. He did not mention any particular incidents happening though."

"Have you heard from his girlfriend?" he shake his head 'No' to Yasus' question.

"What about this rumored haunted building? What's the story?" Naru finally spoke.

"Well, I really don't know much about the story. The three of us were all new students and was just given the assignment to write something. I wonder if the two have other things that they knew but I doubt it. What we were told was that these ghost were victims of bullying. Some says that the ghost were probably victims of the fire that had happened before in the building but the report that we checked says no one was hurt. Others said that it may have been the ghost of those buried on the graveyard that was once located on the same building area, that reason may have been the case but so far none of these really answers why the place was haunted or if it was indeed haunted. Only those who have seen claimed they were true ghost sightings but no real proof and these information was the content of our story."

"Do you happen to encounter any ghost when you visited the building? What time did you visit the place?" Gene questioned, Lin is still busy typing amidst all the questioning.

"We explored the place after school hours, with permission of course. We checked the place but no apparition was seen or caught by our cameras."

"Is there any specific area of the sightings?" 

"It was said that the Art room and the Library on the first floor, the woman's restroom and Science lab on the second floor, and the last room on the third floor were some of the places. But well they said the whole building was haunted and anyone who tried to visit and investigate the place will be cursed."

Silence followed. This may become another exhausting case for the Team.

"We will have to visit your University. May we have some contact information of your club advisor and your friends to?"
