Chapter 7

"Naru! Wait up!" the said boy never looked back and continued on walking over to his next class building.

Mai walked-run at the same time to catch up and glared at the narcissists back.

The jerk! If looks could kill.... Oh well, his genes is a waste if he died from my glare so I'll just pinch him later to ease my nerve.

It has been a month since their last case, Naru had wanted her to be within his radar.

He mentioned that he wanted to monitor her to obtain data. The twins, or rather, the whole gang is quiet intrigued with what had transpired especially because of what the cruel ghost had mentioned before being exorcise.

So now, not only Naru, but some of the members of the group are checking up on her once in a while. They even visit her in the apartment.

*sigh* I wonder what that creature means.

And if they have taken an interest with her, she had also wondered what is that thing the other twins are looking for that she keeps on hearing about.

They were now loading the van with the equipment they had brought, preparing to leave.

After the successful exorcism, they had spent the night and agreed to go home the next morning.

Now, everyone is saying their brief farewell and see you soon greetings when Monk approached the twins with an apologetic face.

"Noll. Gene. I'm sorry, I thought that this time we got a lead with the thing that you're looking for but..."

Gene smiled. "It's okay Takigawa-san. I know that we'll find it... soon. Still thank you for the continuous help. It is greatly appreciated. "

Naru nodded as a sign of agreement. And the twins shake hands with the older guy and bade farewell.

She sigh for the nth time that day. Well, she'll know it at the right time.

She was startled when Naru cleared his throat making her look up.

They were now inside the classroom for Naru's literature class and he is now sitting leaving a space beside him.

She smiled and went to sit.

Though it is irritating that Naru is, well... Naru... She was actually happy going to school everyday.

She had been a wandering ghost for who knows how long so being in a different environment and learning at the same time is giving her a feeling of happiness. Though she had to be honest some topics are hard to understand, hehehe.

A scream was then heared after an hour in the lecture and they bolted out of the room following their professor at the scene.

They stopped when they reached the crowd of students in front of a room, one of their laboratory to be exact, and they peeked inside.

The scene made her gagged.

There lie a girl on one of the tables, her body swimming on her own pool of blood, visible scratch marks all over her body.

"Mai. I think we have case."
