Ghost Hunt AU: Mai Lovely Ghost

Chapter 9

It's a chilly night and almost all of the students who just finished their task are on their way home.

A shrilling scream was then heard all throughout the vicinity of the university's underground parking lot and the people in the area looked for the caused and had already notified the authorities.

Alas, after an hour of looking they found a blooded body of a woman inside a black BMW and the state of the corpse is just like the first victim, scratch marks are all over her body.

It was only a day after the first incident and now the team is now investigating the scene with the police.

Mai can't look at the horrid scene for more than a minute and the narcissist naturally knew that.

"Mai, you can go ahead and stay farther away if you can't take it. "

She glared at him but none the less oblige because its the truth.

Her mind went back to yesterday. Naru mentioned that the cause of the incident might have been because of a demon.

It gave her the creeps!

Imagine a demon on the loose which is more dreadful than that evil spirit they've exorcist on their last case.

As she was observing on the sidelines, she saw a blond woman walk towards the scene, on the verge of crying, but was stopped by some police officers.

She could hear her scream out,  'She's my best friend! Let me through! '.

Hirota-san then handles the situation and let the hysterical woman through.

Being intrigued, she went over to the scene again, trying to ignore the lingering stench of metal.

What she had heard was that the woman is Erika Kishimoto. A close friend of the second victim, Riko Ishida. They we're both working as models.

She's on a photo shoot when she receive a call from the police and rush over.

"She's suppose to star in a movie project next month and now this happen! " she continued as she cry.

Now near Naru, she can tell that he's not taken by the crying woman in front of him. He had on his 'No care' in the world look and is continuously writing something on his black notebook.

A series of questions were asked by the police before Naru stepped in and asked his own.

"Do you know Michiko Uemura?"

"Aahhh..  Yeah. She's a colleague. Why? "

"She's actually the first victim. "

Erika gasped covering her mouth. "Oh my! "

"Do you know anyone who might have a grudge against these girls? " Gene followed up.

She thought for a moment and then shook her head. "None that I can think of. They are both well liked. "

"I see. "

"I'm already getting a headache. " Hirota-san said massaging his temple and sighed."Now let's get you escorted home for now. "

Naru and the others we're given permission to continue their investigation.

"Naru. "

He looked at her.

"Don't you think it's weird that the victims were all models? "

He flinched and after a while he briskly turned to his brother. "Gene! Call Hirota-san now! We might have another victim! "

As if reading what his brother is thinking about he dialled the number.

"Hello? Hirota-san, where are you? "

"I'm at Erika's house. Why? "

"Both victim we're models! So is Erika! She might be in danger! "

"What are you-"

Then a scream broke their conversation and the line got disconnected.

"Hirota-san! "
