AAAHHH LAST CHAPTER.
Hope everyone likes it and it isn't a huge disappointment hehe
Peggy's laugh filled the corridors of their house. Little giggles and wide smiles skidded into the living room, being chased by the woman Daniel fell in love with. The two children climbed onto the couch that Daniel was sitting on.
The two girls giggled as Peggy entered the room, smirking. The two shrieked as they climbed over to their laughing father, begging for help through laughs. Peggy crept closer to them, playfulness shining in her eyes. Daniel laughed as his two daughters tried to seek refuge under his arms, hiding behind them, giggling and shrieking.
Peggy reached out for the first one, tickling her as she tossed and turned, uncontrollably laughing. The whole family laughed as Peggy went for the second one. But inevitably, the small child kicked and screamed, laughing all the less.
They still all laughed, until the small girl's leg kicked Daniel's arm. Though she was still small, it hurt. Like really hurt. Pain beated in his arm, spreading around his body. Daniel gripped his arm, but the girls kept playing with their unfazed mother. Agony shot through his body. His face stung as if a knife had made its mark. His family's laughs faded as his world became black once more.

Peggy didn't leave that hospital for another 4 days. She slept in that seat, holding Daniel's hand. Still, he didn't move. Jarvis and Howard would swing by every few hours to check up on everything but nothing changed. They couldn't convince Peggy to leave, no matter how hard they tried.
She cried and she wept and she cried again. Nothing was going to wake Daniel up, so all she could do was make sure she was by his side when he did. Guilt dragged her down. Regrets swam around in her mind. They tortured her as the sun went down once more, and up again, marking the fifth day...

Peggy's voice could be heard from the living room. Daniel stood to go see what she was up to. His wife held the phone to her ear, talking in a serious tone. Once she had spoken her farewells to the person on the other end of the line, she turned her attention to Daniel.
"Who was that?" He asked
"You know Martha and Colin?" She asked and Daniel nodded his head. "Colin cheated on her yesterday. With their friend too! Can you believe it!" Peggy continued to tell the story, but Daniel couldn't hear her anymore. His vision blurred as his heart exploded. He felt the urge to cry his heart out all over again, but he didn't know why. Peggy's voice faded along with his vision.

Peggy was by his side once more, no different from the past week. He still lay, unmoving, silent. Tears started to burn her eyes again.
"I'm sorry," She cried as she gripped his arm. "I'm so, so sorry. I should have told you. I shouldn't have kept it from you. You had a right to know," She mumbled into his arm between sobs. She shook her head as she repeated her apologies and her wrong-doings. "I don't deserve to be forgiven," She whispered.
