After years of watching him from behind in awe as he worked and finding herself wanting to be around him as much as possible, Peggy finally found the common sense to act on her growing feelings for Daniel.

"Nothing to say? No quick comeback?" Daniel teased, a smirk on his lips. Peggy's heart raced as she saw her opening. She threw herself forward, pressing her lips to his. Daniel, though surprised, wraps his free arm around Peggy's waist, making her heart soar.

Heart on fire, her hands traveled to his neck, pulling him impossibly closer. Somehow in all the madness, Peggy managed to push Daniel into his chair. It didn't faze them. Nothing would. This moment had been long awaited by both of them, though about every time they looked at each other. Around them, the world disappeared. At that moment, only they existed. They moved in sync, hearts beating for each other.

Peggy pulled away, realizing that she had just pushed Daniel into his freakin chair. Her hazel eyes looked into his chocolate ones, waiting for a response. His puppy dog eyes met Peggys.

"Good point," He said. A smile played on Peggy's lips, spreading to Daniel's. Peggy connected their lips again, tangling her hands in his hair. They both smiled as music played in Peggy's mind. Daniel smiled wider than he had in a long time.

The world built its walls back up as the chief's phone rang. Peggy pulled back, climbing out of Daniel's lap. A pink blush painted across Daniel's cheeks as he leant forward to pick up the phone. He brought it to his ear.

"Chief Sousa," He answered. Peggy could hear the faint voice of another man, but she had no idea who, or what they were saying. "Oh my god-" And Daniel froze. Peggy could hear the voice on the other end of the line call his name. When he didn't respond, Peggy placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Daniel?" She asked. He seemed to have just then popped back into reality.

"We'll be right down there," He rushed, before slamming down the phone. He jumped out of his seat and seized his crutch.

"Daniel? What's going on? What happened?" Peggy asked, worry filling her chest. He looked up at her, a look of fear spreading across his face.

"Jack's been shot,"

The two wide eyed agents practically ran down the stairs to Daniel's car.

"All they told me was that he was found in his hotel with a gunshot in his left shoulder. He was rushed to hospital, they don't know if he'll make it or not," Daniel rushed once they were driving.

"Anything stolen?" Peggy asked, acting like the kiss had never happened.

"There are agents in his room, they're checking," Daniel said as he very casually drove through a red light, and much above the speed limit. Peggy didn't complain at all. Thoughts and theories rushed through her head. Who would want to do this? Who would want Jack Thompson dead? Wait, no, Who doesn't want Jack Thompson dead?

Daniel abruptly stopped in a parking spot, not giving two shits about how bad his parking was. They needed to get inside. Speeding inside, Peggy ran to the desk. A cheery looking, old lady sat there, mug of tea in her hand.

"Jack Thompson, now!" Peggy urged, heart beating fast.

"Oh my. Umm Let's see-" She looked up to see Peggy's distraught expression. "Room 25. Up the hall and to the le-" She answered. Peggy nodded and motioned to Daniel to follow her before she had even finished. The two agents frantically ran through the halls, trying to avoid both patients and doctors.
