Sitting down with her knees pulled to her chest, Y/N sat on the window seat in Kaz's office waiting for him to finish his work of the night.

The widow seat was her spot.

Kaz let her decorate it however she'd like, so there were pillows and two fluffy blankets tucked into the window seat with her.

Ketterdam was never a quiet city.

Even at night there were always people walking the streets.

Y/N found them all so interesting, coming up with stories for each lost soul wandering the dark and cold streets till the early hours of the morning.

Kaz put his pen down, finally done with his work for the day.

He looked up and saw his wife, face turned to the window with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders.

She looked stunning.

Hair tied up in a messy bun, glasses sitting atop her head, hands holding a steaming cup of tea, the city lights reflecting off the window around her looking like stars.

He smiled and twisted the silver band around his finger before standing up and walking over to her. "What are you doing, Love?"

She turned her head just slightly, glancing over her shoulder before shrugging her shoulders.

He moved to sit across from her on the seat, "Are you spying on people?"

She laughed and shook her head, "People watching."

He hummed and turned to look out the window.

Y/N looked at Kaz and saw him visibly relax, a sight no one get's to see. Except her. "I love you, Kaz."

He looked at her and smiled softly, she still didn't talk often but it was a lot more than before.

He cherished every word that fell from her lips.

He adored her, she was his saint.

"I love you too, darling."
