As doctors bowed and exited the consultation room, Suryeon could only cover her mouth in shock as tears escaped her eyes.

Logan tried to hold it together as he held her in his arms but had also failed to control the tears from piercing through his eyes.

Seokhoon meanwhile had slumped down in shock as he processed the new information uttered to him just a few seconds ago.

'Ms. Bae had hit her head pretty hard and unfortunately the medications we've been giving her hasn't also been working.... We have to ask you to prepare yourselves for the worst. This injury has caused quite a bleeding which cannot be cured by surgery anymore. '

The thought of Rona actually dying had haunted him eversince her 'death' from their Cheong Ah years.... And yet now, doctors were telling him to prepare to loose her again.

The only difference is that, this time it was forever and real.

Suryeon tried to compose herself as she wiped the evidence of tears away and fixed herself.

'We have to stay strong.... Rona may be in a coma but she can still hear and feel us. We should make her feel strong so she'd be able to gain strength and come back to us.... It will now only take a miracle to save her.'

Logan nods as they walk back down the long white hallways of the ICU.

Staring at the glass from the outside, Seokhoon gazes at the love of his life with so much pain in his eyes.

Her forehead had a gauze bandage indicating the area of the gash where her injury had occured.

Additional to that, numerous lines and pumps were on her as they try to keep her alive and have her breath on her own.

Tears trickle down Seokhoon's face as he observes the female, he knew the injury had been fatal.

Considering how she had numerous critical surgeries before, hitting her head yet again meant she could forget her memories or completely plunge into the abyss of death.

It was no lie that Seokhoon had blamed himself....

So many 'what if' s' had circled his mind but he pushed every single thought behind his head and blocked them out as if they were all white noise.

'What if I stayed with her? What if I never left her standing alone in the Penthouse that day? What if.....'

What was the used of regret and guilt though? When you've finally reached the point of no return.

It has been almost one month since he heard Rona' s voice. She had been sleeping for almost a month, trying to survive through the tubes and medicine being injected in her.

It was very clear to everyone..... Rona was in immense pain, her face shows it and Seokhoon knew..... That the Rona he knew was probably already gone, never to return again.

Seokhoon had been staying outside the ICU room ever since he could last remember.

Only leaving her 2 times to head home and pack his clothes to stay and accompany her at the hospital.

Seokkyung had often dropped by to visit and have little chats with her brother, comforting and reassuring him even if it was useless.

Jenny and Minhyuk often came by and had little chats with Rona from the outside since a glass seperated them from entering the ICU.

But it was the same process, all of them would leave in tears knowing this could be the last time they saw their friend breathing and alive.

As for Rona's father, he had been confined on a normal ward as he hopelessly waited for news of his daughter.

He was bedridden and unable to visit Rona, frustrated and helpless.... Yoonchul could only shed tears and pray for a miracle.

Seokhoon slumped down the bench as tears pierce through his eyes nonstop. Thinking of the memories .... At least the good ones they shared.

'Are you also late?'

'During graduation... Can you be my accompanist?'

'You don't need to do this everytime Seokhoon ah....'

'I'm doing this because I want to.... From now on I'll do everything with you, nothing will break us up ever again.'

Covering his face, Seokhoon could simply sob away for the rest of the night as he tries to muffle his sobs.

He didn't want Rona to hear him, even if she was in a coma. He didn't want her to hear him crying for her when she was still alive and well.

Each day went by pretty fast and even though a lot of people had started feeling tired of waiting and hoping for Rona's survival. Seokhoon had never once gave up and continued to persevere and wait by his love's side.

Rona's health has deteriorated much more, her skin was pale, her hair had started to loose it's healthy and shiny appearance.

But most importantly, her health has deteriorated rapidly and it was almost as if she had started to send out signals....

The end was near and she would soon probably give up on clinging onto life.
