S3 Axis Of His Life (13.2)

' Ahem... '

Turning around with a silent groan, Seokhoon's eyes turn wide as he meets eyes with the coldest gaze piercing right at him.

Letting his girlfriend go, He swiftly turns and clasps his hands together politely and bows at the elder man.

' Mr. Ha, I didn't see you there... I apologize for greeting you just now.'

Chuckling at Seokhoon's nervous actions, Rona steps forward and slightly covers her boyfriend from her father.

'Appa... Seokhoon and I just finished the performance. I don't think you need to stare at him as if you'd want to kill him.'

Changing the tensed mood into a gentle one, Rona steps forward and leans in to catch her father in a warm embrace.

'My dear appa... I've missed you a lot. I hope you liked the song selections for tonight. I chose them while thinking of eomma.'

Yoonchul grins as he strokes his daughters hair and pecks her head with a fatherly smile.

'Your eomma would definitely be smiling to see you... I'm very proud of you, The news channels are booming with news reports of you hitting that high note in the last song... I'm proud of you my darling.'

After the little tender father and daughter moment, Rona soon heads off after noticing her sister and the rest of the Hera girls.

Leaving Seokhoon to entertain his girlfriend' s father.

Patting Seokhoon's shoulders, Yoonchul smirks as he glances at the male.

'I heard from Rona that you've been taking good care of her in New York.... As a father, I can't thank you enough for protecting her...'

Seokhoon finally smiles and nods politely at the elder man.

But even before he could reply to YoonChul's comment, He was abruptly cut as YoonChul's voice changes from strict fatherly to a rather serious and hushed tone.

'But.... I'd appreciate it if you slow down on the skinship and lip locking.'

Patting his shoulder for the last time, Yoonchul plasters a smile on his face and approaches his daughters as they conversed away laughing at something Jenny had joked about.

After a the little intimate gathering between the families and friends. The couple finally changed into much casual but still formal clothes.

It was almost midnight when Seokhoon opened the door of the shiny black sports car and helped Rona in.

Smirking and revving up the car, he comments.

'My princess wants pasta.... We should go and eat what she wants.'

Chuckling at the cheesiness of his ment and voice, Rona sweetly nods and stares at him adoringly.

And the car takes off to it's destination

Sipping on the orange juice in front of her, Rona adorably smiles at the bouquet and mini box Seokhoon had surprised her with.

A White bouquet filled with White Lilies and a little velvet box of a customized necklace placed beside the still hot and delicious food just served a few seconds before.

'You didn't have to get so much things for me Seokhoon ah.... Your presence is enough of a gift for me.'

Seokhoon smiles and slightly scrunches his face.

'Well.... I wanted to since it's a special day and.... Your a special person so I'll get you whatever you want. I'll always be here beside you Rona yah... I just wanted you to know that.'

Rona glances at her boyfriend and reaches for his hand from across the table.

Gazing at him with her soft gaze, she grins and nods.

' And I'll always be here for you... So don't always try to be strong. Share all your problems and pain with me. Isn't that what a girlfriend should at least do?'

As they both laugh at each other's cheesy ments, Seokhoon stands from his chair and walks behind Rona's chair.

Swiftly taking the necklace from her hand, He brushes her hair gently ti the side and clasps the lock in a flash securing the gold necklace on her neck.

'This is a design I specifically asked to be made for you. You are the star and light of my life.... Without you my world would have been dark and lonely. I would not have escaped my father's grasps and might even become a second version of him.'

Kneeling down to move her chair so that she'd be facing him. Seokhoon takes both of her hands and looks up at the pair of  familiar and big hazel eyes.

' I know that today's been a tiring day for you but.... I just thought that now's the right time for me to do this...'

Looking at him with her signature confused face, Rona slightly smiles to reassure and urge him to continue.

Seokhoon breathes in and out to calm himself and swiftly takes out a little gold ring from his pocket.

' It isn't that romantic and may seem abrupt.... But I wanted to ask you for the longest time....

Would you be interested to spend the rest of your life with me.... Rona yah?'

There was that tensed silence after, as Seokhoon gazes at her with hopeful eyes. Rona's face changes from confused to happiness real fast.

Nodding and smiling with slight tears in her eyes, she leans down to capture his face in a kiss.

' I will.... Of course, I'll always say yes to you.'

Finally grinning, Seokhoon takes her left hand and sweetly inserts the diamond ring on her finger.

'Starting today.... Your officially engaged to me. So you shouldn't back out anymore okay?'

Rona nods and stares at the shiny ring.

'This is officially the happiest day of my life at the moment.... Thank you Seokhoon ah.'

For the rest of their Pasta date, they conversed and reminisced about their past together.

No longer scarred or scared to talk about the dark past they once shared..... It was gonna be a lot different now.

The dark days of their shared past was now over but the future they decided to share now also together was just about to start.

He was a planet, once filled with darkness and hatred.... Deemed hopeless and un liveable. She was the bright star who dashed her way in his cold planet to warm and light it up.

She was and still is the axis of his life.

Notes :

This has been in my drafts for 2 freaking weeks, I just lost inspiration and decided to continue it after much contemplating.....

This is hella different from the preview, cause it was written even before the preview came out.

Well.... I'll try to update either of my books as long as I can before the finale airs.

The waiting time is hard... I know
