A few days later
Seokhoon silently arranged the bouquets on the black marble grave.
Wearing his black suit and tie, he quietly sits on the grass and took in the peaceful sight.
'I heard from the caretakers here that this spot is where you can see the stars very well.... I envy you Rona yah, you can see them everynight now.'
Turning around to look at the picture frame that lay on top of the grave, he silently traces the beautiful image of her smiling wearing a beautiful cream and sparkly gown.
Tears trickled down his eyes as he had a major reality check and realizes this time this was real and no miracle would ever bring her back again.
Reaching into his blazer pocket, Seokhoon takes out the familiar yellow chocolate milk and places it on top of the gravestone.
'Have you finally reunited with your mother? Don't worry too much about me and the others now and go find your happiness.'
'I'll be fine and will live my life well.... Just like how you said I should go and catch my dreams. I'll be fine.... I'll wait for you Rona yah... If your still willing to meet me even in your second life.'
'Even if it takes a eternity for you to come back, I'll be here patiently waiting for your return. Until the day we meet again, I'll live my life well.'
Standing up and wiping his tears away, Seokhoon turns around to observe her pictures for the last time.
' I'll be here to visit you often.... So don't feel too lonely. I love you Rona yah, I'll have to go back now. '
Smiling gently, Seokhoon walks away from the gravestone and sobs as he exits the cemetery.
It was natural..... when someone you love dies.... No matter how prepared you are to let them go, grief will always be grief.
You cry, deny and feel the immense pain and sadness that takes over your whole self.
Exiting the cemetery gates with red eyes, Seokhoon is met by his family and friends all dressed in black.
Suryeon was first to approach her son as she engulfs him in a hug, patting him and comforting him as he broke down and sobbed on his mother's shoulders.
The others could only quietly cry with him or give him a sympathetic gaze.
The war was over, now the remaining people of Hera could do whatever they wanted and finally achieve the happy ending they so desperately fought for.
For Seokhoon though, what he could simply do is start over and complete his promises to the love of his life.
6 years later
Numerous picture frames display the long table as the sun shine it's bright beam from the outside.
The streets of Italy was as always busy and loud.
Seokhoon had achieved his goal of becoming one of the most famous and skilled pianists in the whole world.
As he looked over the view of his windows, he gently puts down the porcelain cup and takes one of the framed pictures in his hands.
It was a picture of the girl he loves the most.
He had made up his mind not to remarry, perhaps it's because he wanted only her and had already committed himself on the thought that she would always be with him in his heart.
Seokhoon had moved to Italy 4 years ago, coming to the foreign land to make his dreams come true.
Smiling at the picture of the female who still made his heart flutter, he gently strokes her picture and grins.
'Are you doing fine today Rona yah? I hope you'll be there to see my concert later.'
It was going to be a lie if we had said, he had completely accepted her death but.... In a way he had learned to live with it.
Live with the fact that fairytales don't really end with the cliché line 'And they lived happily ever after'
It was rather deceitful, how storybooks could teach little children about a happy life ahead assuring there were no more problems.
But that was it, Seokhoon felt happy for Rona. That she could finally be free from all the misery she had to face in this world. At least, she may reunite with her mother and truly live out their lives for eternity there.
In the end, Prince Charming had let his Cinderella go....
Not because he didn't have a choice but because he loves her so much that having her find her true joy was much more important than himself.
Unlike others though, this Prince Charming did not succumb into sadness.
Instead he lived through it and learned to get up and make his dreams come true.
Until the day they meet again, he had promised to be happy and live the remaining years ahead well.
As long as she was always in his heart.
'A fairytale isn't a hallucinogen that gives us hopes and dreams. It's a stimulant that makes us face reality.'

Notes :
Please don't kill me, I was feeling angsty last night and made a 3 chapter one shot 😭
If your crying.... I'm so sorry
I thought of this scenario while listening to Goodbye, the ost that played when they had their freaking break up.
I mean... I know that tonight's episode will be a war with Joo Dantae and whatnot but I'm hoping for a proper scene for our couple 😭
Anyway the last chapter was also inspired by Soo's death scene in Moon Lovers.
I still can't move on from Moon Lovers though, it's already been a few years.
#BaekhyunPleaseComeBackWell ❤️
Anyway, happy update for today and happy reading 💐
After Hera will be updated soon, I'm just stuck writing a important chapter (spoiler evil laugh)
