S3 Minhyuk's Intervention (9.1)

A few days before the destruction at Hera. Suryeon advices the Hera Kids to go on a trip together. Despite the tensed air and awkward encounters, the kids try to cope with it and try to enjoy as this may be the last for them to all be together.

As Jenny, Minhyuk and Rona arrive together they bid their goodbyes to Mari who had droved them to the airport.

Minhyuk had volunteered to push the luggages as Jenny help Rona walk.

The accident had just occured a few weeks ago, hence her legs weren't that healed yet.

The trio settled on the benches as they await the arrival of the (fake) twins. It was awkward but Minhyuk had decided to be the mediator between his friends.

'Joo Seokhoon, Joo Seokkyung.... Good timing, we have to board our flight in 10 minutes. Here's the tickets.'

Minhyuk hands the tickets to the twins as they approach the group quite awkwardly.

Jenny didn't even pay them much attention, she had been on mother mode as she asked Rona if she felt comfortable or even if she needed anything.

Rona chuckles at her friend and slowly holds her hand assuring her that everything was fine.

Minhyuk awkwardly claps his hands as he hands the luggages to the staff and lean down to hold Rona to help her walk to the boarding gates.

Jenny slowly helps from the side as she holds onto Rona's hand.

Minhyuk turns around to look at the twins and slightly smiles.

'Let's go.... Aren't you guys boarding with us?'

Silently glaring at Minhyuk's sly smile Seokhoon quietly follows as Seokkyung timidly hesistates if she should help the trio.

The walk to the plane after boarding was silent and tensed.

Rona was seated beside Minhyuk while Seokhoon had sat beside Minhyuk.

It was awkward... But Rona could only thank the heavens that Minhyuk had sat in between them just so she could avoid her ex and potential conversations with him.

Jenny had to sit beside Seokkyung and brought a book to read just so she would have a excuse to not chat with her.

Of course, Seokkyung understood and knew about Jenny's feelings towards her hence she just decided to stay silent and respect Jenny's decisions.

As they settle in their seats, Minhyuk fumbles through his bag and takes out some medication.

He gently opens the water and hands a pill to Rona.

'Here's your medication... I checked and it's already 11:30. Jenny's mom ordered me to remind you of your medication.'

Rona smiles sweetly and silently thanks Minhyuk, taking the pill and drinks it.

'No problem.... Our dear Rona, you should heal fast so you would be ready for Julliard. Once you go there, don't forget us here okay? Who knows maybe you can find a new lovelife there.'

Rona nearly chokes on her water as Seokhoon also almost spits his chewing gum.

Chuckling as if he didn't say anything funny, Minhyuk pats both Rona and Seokhoon.

' You know.... Don't make it obvious that you were a couple. The three of us will be stuck together for the remainder of this flight and it's already making me super uncomfortable to sit between you two.'

Rona silently hides her face as she feels her face change into a dark shade of crimson red.

Seokhoon meanwhile cleared his throat as he tries to sneak a peak of the female through his peripheral vision.

Minhyuk grins playfully and takes out a book to ignore the tension he had 'unintentionally' created.

'You know.... You should just make up and talk to each other. We'll be stuck for 5 days in the same pension house. I don't like the awkwardness between you guys.'

And yet again, Minhyuk casually comments as he gazes at his book.

Irritated and already annoyed at his huge mouth, Seokhoon crumples the flyer that he held in his hand and speaks in a low tone.

' Shut your mouth Lee Minhyuk'

Slightly intimidated, Minhyuk slowly nods and buries his attention on his book trying to keep his mouth and sarcastic attitude from controlling himself before Seokhoon would actually murder him right there.

The Hera Kids were traveling to Jeju, Mari had already booked them some exciting things to do.

They were to stay in Logan's private estate, located near the beach.

An hour into the flight, Rona wanted to go to the bathroom. The only problem was that Minhyuk was already snoring beside her.

Jenny, meanwhile had just fallen asleep. She didn't want to wake either of them.

Standing up slowly anr carefully, Rona realized she had to walk past Seokhoon to go to the aisle.

As she squeezed herself in between the 2 males, she stumbled and a hand soon holds her so she wouldn't trip.

Seokhoon had been napping beside Minhyuk but as soon as he felt a movement from Rona he had woke up and caught her in time.

Awkwardly trying to avoid Seokhoon's gaze. Rona gently removes his grip on her wrist and holds onto the handles and utters a hushed 'sorry' and 'thanks'.

But before Rona could even walk down the aisle, Seokhoon once again grabs onto her wrist and finally asks.

'Should I help you...?'

Rona slowly turns around and accidentally meets eyes with his familiar and warm eyes.

'If you want to then.... Sure.'

And for that little interaction, it seems as if....

The spark that had forcefully turn itself off reignited.

Confirming the mutual attraction and feelings that still lingered in the air.
