S3 Doomed To Begin With (35.1)

Hera Palace stood proudly with its shining glory in the middle of the tranquility and beautiful night view of Seoul.

It was unlike any other day.....

At least that was it for the people who saw Hera Palace only through the exterior. But inside the beautiful and luxurious building, it was pure chaos.

Screams, sirens and red lights.... Broken glass, tilted furnitures and lost children.

At the announcement and revelation of bombs set up in the building. The people frantically tried to evacuate causing a stampede within a few seconds.

The Hera Kids had tried to help Mari but it was simply not enough.

But as Rona busied herself in helping an elderly woman walk towards the elevator that would direct them to the bunker.

The second she turned her head, she sights a familiar black clad figure running towards the Penthouse elevator.

'It's Secretary Jo!!!!'

Helping the elder lady enter the bunker elevator. Rona was about to follow Dantae's henchman until a hand pulls her back.

'BAE RONA!!! Where do you think you are going? Are you crazy!!?'

Lee Minhyuk held onto the female's wrist as he raised his voice in concern.

And as always, Rona whose been proven tons of times as the stubborn type uses all her strength and escapes from the male's grip.

With determined eyes, the female runs towards the elevator and says with a raised tone.

'I can't let him get to Suryeon Ajhumma.... I'll be fine help the others, I'll just distract him.'

But before Minhyuk could stop her, off she went out of his sight without a care in the world on whether or not she could possibly get hurt.

Minhyuk was panicked but he couldn't run after her since he was helping this elderly woman walk up to the elevator leading to the bunker.

Looking over his shoulder, Lee Minhyuk shouts and calls out for Seokhoon.

'JOO SEOKHOON!!! LOOK!!!'

Turning to Minhyuk and looking over at the direction of the hallways towards the public elevators, Seokhoon's eyes widen as he quickly runs to follow after Rona.

But he had to wait.... the elevators had already gone up. As he frantically pressed on the elevator switches, Joo Seokhoon silently chants and begs under his breathe that the girl did not do anything reckless.

He hadn't even talked to her, there was still an awkward aura lingering between them when they were both together.

He absolutely hated it.... But what could he do? He was the one who broke it off from the beginning.

Meanwhile at the top floor, as Joo Dantae's evil henchman prepared his gun and was just about to enter the Penthouse to help his boss who was having an ongoing scuffle with his ex wife, he was beaten to it when Bae Rona who had just arrive in the top floor took her handbag and hit his head with it.

Startled and annoyed at the girl's sudden presence, Secretary Jo was about to shot her until Rona tried to reach for the gun and stop him.

They had a raging fight outside the penthouse, Secretary Jo was getting impatient and as they fought for the revolver, shots were fired to the ceiling startling Suryeon and even Dantae inside.

But before Rona could do anything more, Secretary Jo pinned her down onto the floor. Smiling rather deviously, the henchman slyly tells her to give up.

Getting rather irritated at the female, Secretary Jo reaches down for something in his holster, but as he does this....

Joo Seokhoon suddenly appeared like lightning.

With furious eyes and anger laced in his voice, the male takes a huge porcelain vase and smashes it onto Secretary Jo's head.

And in the spur of the moment, Secretary Jo shouts in pain and suddenly Rona also let's out a bone chilling shout.

But what Seokhoon didn't notice.....
Was the red spot that started to form in Rona's lower abdomen.

As Seokhoon lifts Secreatry Jo's now unconscious body away from Rona, his eyes widen and his lips tremble at the sight before him.

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead, slowly kneeling down the marble floor of the hallway. Tears start to prick his grey eyes.

'Ro---Rona yah.... Wha- what happened here?'

His hands started to shake.... as he leaned down to hold the female's body up, he wrapped his arms around her upper body and reaches his hand up to cup her face.

Her eyes were glossed over and her lips had started to turn blue.

With the energy left inside of her, Bae Rona points to something behind him and he finally realizes what had happened.

Not far from Secretary Jo's body was a bloody dagger.

It was no doubt that the blood belongs to Rona and it was then when Seokhoon could finally paint the full picture....

Secretary Jo had managed to stab Rona a few seconds before Seokhoon had landed his assault on him.

Yet again.... Seokhoon was a few seconds late.

The wound was deep and blood was oozing out of her fast.

Rona was already losing her consciousness, but Seokhoon trying to keep himself together held her face and tried to shake her out of it.

'Rona yah... Please, please hold on. I'll do something---- just please don't close your eyes.'

Trying his best to keep the pressure on her wound, Joo Seokhoon's hand was already splattered and covered with his ex- lover's warm and deep red blood.

But no matter how much he tried to keep the pressure, her blood still flowed out. It was a mess....

That's when Seokhoon had somehow realized that this was the same place where he broke it off with her a few months ago.

How terrible and how tragic must their story still go on?

Will it even have a happy ending? Or was it really doomed to begin with....
