Packing a suitcase to leave the place that's been home for the past five years is really odd and insane and kinda heartbreaking. As I emptied the apartment, short movies passed through my mind as I looked at or touched certain things. My first drunken college night with Sophia, first failed test where I thought I was going to just drop out, first group project, first race, getting arrested for racing, among other fun memories. Since I'm going from Colorado back to California, I'm donating most of, if not all of the furniture in this apartment. I'm taking the little knick-knacks though, the photos, all of the good memories.

"Destiny?"

"In my room."

"Of course you are, you're leaving me." my best friend said as she walked in with my ... he's a ... not a boyfriend but more than a bed buddy.

"Sophia, we graduated and it's time for me to go home." I smiled as she flung herself on my bed.

"You can stay here." she argued.

"She's not lying." my not quite boyfriend but more than friends with benefits said in his sexy accent.

"Cade, I'm going home. I miss my brother." I told them.

"The one you fight with 75% of the time?" Cade asked, smiling before kissing me.

"That's the one, he's my twin so of course, we fight all of the time. What did you expect?" I asked.

"If he's anything like you then I totally get it." Sophia said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I glared at her, beaning her with a pillow.

"That's what that means." she complained.

"So what's the plan, Destiny?" Cade asked, sitting down in the armchair I've got in my bedroom and pulling me onto his lap.

"Back to Echo Park to see what life has for me." I said, kissing his cheek.

"How come he gets kisses and I get smacked with pillows?" Sophia pouted.

"Aww, you want a kiss babe?"

"You gonna give me one?"

"You're gonna have to come over here and get it." Cade said, wrapping his arms around me.

"Pervert." Sophia said.

"Not at all, I'm just soaking up the last minutes with her." Cade smiled, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"You just wanna see us make out." I smiled.

"That's the added cherry on top." he smirked.

Sophia walked over to me, softly caressed my cheek before planting her lips on mine. I know that the show was for Cade's sake but there's no reason I can't enjoy it.

"I'm definitely going to miss that." Cade said.

"I bet you are." I smiled. "Now I've gotta finish packing."

"What time does your flight leave?" Sophia asked.

"Not until tomorrow morning but I've gotta do a whole bunch of ... what are you doing?" I asked when she started to peel off her shirt.

"We've got time for one more game." she smirked.

"That we do." Cade growled, tightening his hold on me.

"Well ... if you insist." I smiled, turning to kiss Cade while Sophia pulled on my shirt.

After a fun night, I left the two of them sleeping while I finished packing. I'm definitely going to miss them a lot, but my time here has run its course. Echo Park is calling me back home but the girl going back is entirely different than the one that left. My twin brother is gonna lose his shit when he sees me. I stopped in Sophia's bedroom and looked at myself in the full-length mirror.
