"Let's go. Walk!" Vince said, prodding him with the gun again as Dom and I walked past him.
"You think he's having fun?" I whispered.
"Absolutely, this ain't nothing compared to what Vince has done to Brian in his head." Dom said, making me smile.
"You think he's a cop?"
"I don't know, I don't think so. I've dealt with undercover cops before and they don't know the streets the way Brian does. They don't know the cars or the feelings the way Brian does." he said.
"I thought the same but you never know." I told him.
"I don't trust him but I've gotta give him the benefit of the doubt until I don't have a reason to. He's not lying, he can't lose another race, he'll get chased out of town for sure."
"For Mia's sake, I hope he's not a cop." I sighed.
"So do I."
"Let's go have some fun." I smiled.
"Let's do that Tiny." he laughed.
Jesse was surprised to see Brian and he quickly looked at me so I rolled my eyes, making him smile. He and I joked a little but we could still feel the tension in the back seat. I kept looking at Vince and honestly, we don't need to speak to know what we're thinking. He's mad for sure but worried as well, it's easier to be mad.
As soon as Jesse dropped us off, Dom helped me jump over the gate, not that I needed help but I appreciated it. I took off for the ladder, jumping up to pull it down.
"This isn't a gymnast show, get your ass up there." V said.
"Jealousy suits you very well." I told him as I climbed up and looked around. "Got it!" I told them.
"She's crafty." Brian said as we dropped into the garage from an open window.
Vince and I walked around and noticed something strange at the same time, we just looked at each other and turned around.
"Yo, Dominic." my brother said.
"Hey, Dom." I said at the same time.
We looked at each other and smiled again.
"What's up, wonder twins."
"There's no engines." I said, shining my flashlight over the big holes.
"What the hell are they planning on racing with, hopes and dreams?" Dom asked, placing his hand on my lower back.
"I don't know, but I know they're sneaky as shit and they've got enough money to buy anything." V said.
"That's dangerous." I muttered, walking away from them.
I could hear Dom on the walkie but I wasn't paying attention. I followed Brian and was stumped by the amount of DVD boxes here. What the hell is going on? What do they need all of this for? Re-sale? What the hell?
"Alright, we got company. Spilner! Tiny!" Dom shouted.
I ran behind Brian as the lights turned on and the doors opened and we barely made it to the guys before the cars came rolling in. Dom pulled out his Smith and Wesson, V and I pulled out our Glock's.
What we just witnessed hit me the wrong way, the wrong way. That poor man, he was trying to do Tran dirty but still. I mean, I have no respect for Tran but after this, he's just ... that was horrible.
"What the hell was that?" I asked the guys about an hour later when they left and we were finally able to leave.
"I really don't know." Dom sighed.
