"What's up, rainbow?" Jesse asked.

"So I have a friend, who knows a friend, who's getting rid of a Nismo. I'm gonna buy it and I would like for you to work it up. I'm gonna talk to Dom about doing it here but I'm footing my own bill."

"Okay, what do you have in mind?" he asked with a smile.

"Purple, that's all I ask."

"Free reign?" he excitedly asked.

"Yes sir, I trust you."

"Awesome! I can't wait to get my hands on it."

"Get your hands on what?" Dom asked when he walked over to us.

"My new car." I smiled at him.

"What new car?"

"The one I'm gonna finesse out of a friend of a friend."

"What friend?"

"Jealous Toretto?" I asked.

"Me? Jealous? Never."

"Then why are you asking so many questions?" I asked, walking away from him.

"You got plans today?" my brother asked me.

"Nope, why?"

"Barbecue at Dom's, we're closing soon."

"I don't know, I don't wanna impose." I told him.

"I'm sure Dom won't mind, very sure." he grumbled.

"I ..."

"Come on Des, come over for dinner." he insisted.

"I have to go home and shower all of this grease off."

"That's okay, we still have to go to the market and get some stuff so I'll probably meet you there."

"Alright, I'll see you there then." I said, making him smile.

"Go on then, finish here and head out." he said, touching his forehead to mine before walking away.

After I finished what I was working on, I walked over to the sink and grabbed a clean rag just to wash off my hands and whatever got on my face before leaving. Dom walked over to me and grabbed the rag, rubbing it softly over my cheek.

"You missed a spot." he said, those chocolate brown beautiful eyes gazing down at me.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"You coming over for dinner?"

"My brother might have invited me."

"Are you going?"

"I don't know, don't wanna make anyone uncomfortable, you know."

"Destiny ..." he sighed.

"Your girlfriend doesn't seem to appreciate your closeness to me." I said, nodding over to where the woman in question is evil eyeing me.

"We haven't been together in a while."

"So you were just having sex?"

"Yes." he sighed again.

"It wasn't just sex for her."

"Apparently not. We're just no good together, it's toxic. All we did was argue and she's very easily agitated. Gets jealous over nothing and she likes to drink, a lot. I enjoy a beer or two but not excessive drinking. I don't get sloppy drunk, I don't get drunk at all." he said.

"Well, that's surprising."

"You're different and I like that. Come to dinner with us ... go out with me after."
