A/N: I've been reading a lot of physical books lately because the majority of the stories I read here haven't been updated in A WHILE and I was complaining about that to a friend I met here, then I realized that I turned into one of those writers. As an apology, here's an extra upload!! I hope you can forgive me.
I fell asleep in my favorite place, in my husband's arms. He moved his hands over my stomach softly until both of us were out. In the morning I was up first and I rushed to the bathroom to vomit. Even knowing it would come at some point, I still wasn't ready. When I finished, I sat against the wall just to catch my breath.
There was a knock at the door and I didn't reply but the door opened anyway and Dom came in with some water, a washcloth, and my toothbrush. After giving me the water, he wet the washcloth and wiped it over my forehead, before pressing it to the back of my neck as I brushed my teeth. When I finished, he carried me back to bed and just rubbed my back. We stood in bed for a while and started to get up again when we heard noises outside.
"You want some bread or crackers at least, just to get something in your stomach?" Dom asked me.
"Yeah, I think that should be good. Thank you, baby." I smiled as he tugged me onto his lap.
"Of course, how are you feeling now?" he asked, caressing my cheek.
"A lot better baby daddy, I was not looking forward to morning sickness." I sighed.
"I'm sorry ..."
"It's part of the process, it'll be fine. Hopefully, it doesn't last long."
"Well, I'll be here." he smiled, leaning in to kiss me.
"I'll lean on you baby."
"That you should."
We went outside and I was discreet in eating my very small breakfast with my unsettled stomach. Brian, Tej, and Roman took off to get visuals of the inside of the vault. The waiting is torture, I can't stand the waiting/recon part of any job because it drives me fucking insane. I need to be doing something ... anything but I couldn't think of anything at that moment.
We waited for about three hours before the guys got back. They were bickering when they left and bickering again when they got back. It's like working with fucking teenagers and good practice for when the time comes.
"What do we got?" I asked them before Dom could.
"Seven by twelve vault, fitted with 18-inch thick steel-reinforced walls. It's protected against thermal lances on the inside and a biometric palm scanner." Tej said, making Brian and Roman shake their heads.
"Why couldn't you dumb it down for us like that?" Roman asked him.
"Cause I like to see that stupid face you make when you're thinking too hard." Tej replied, making me laugh.
"Alright tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb, what does this mean?" I asked.
"It means ten tons of top-of-the-line security." Brian said.
"So we need to figure out how to break the code and get Reyes' palm print." Dom said.
"What do we do?" Mia asked.
"I gotta make a call." my husband said, walking away from us.
"What's that about?" Brian asked me.
"I actually have no fucking clue. We still gotta get eyes into the police station." I sighed.
"No te preocupes hermosa, we got that." Leo reminded me.
"You sure?" Gisele asked.
"Yeah, we got this. We just need to get a few things." Santos told her.
