"Just answer my question, what the hell are you doing here?" she growled, losing the flirty smile.
"Why the hell are you dressed like a racer chaser? Keep walking around like that and you'll catch an STD." I said, trying not to get angry.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" She demanded.
I turned around and looked at my brother.
"D ..."
"Don't ignore me, bitch!"
"Who the hell are you calling a bitch, you irrelevant, attention-seeking, desperate asshole?" I growled, turning around. "You can't handle the fact that the man moved on and that's quite literally not my problem. When you leave high school and know how to handle shit with maturity then I'll pay you attention. Until then get the fuck outta my face."
She stood there seething for a few seconds before turning to Dom.
"Are you gonna let your guest talk to me like that?" She demanded.
"You need to get your shit together. Me and you are done, we have been for a while and you need to understand that." He sighed.
"You always find your way back to me and this time will be no different." She smugly smiled as she got closer to him.
He looked at me as if I was gonna stop her ... no sir, that's not my problem. The pathetic look on his face made me jump in though. I'm gonna regret this.
"Just get fucking over it, the man don't want you, Jesus." I sighed, laughing at the ridiculousness of this whole encounter and the fact that I apparently am handling it because he doesn't seem to have the balls to do it himself.
"Mind your own fucking business, this is between me and him."
"Honey, there is no you and him anymore. Get over it." I smiled, wrapping my arm around his waist for special measures and smiling when he hugged me back.
"Listen here bitch. Just because you lost some weight and know your way around a car doesn't mean there's anything special about you." she snarled, getting angrier by the second.
"Letty ..." V started.
"No, let her go." I smiled.
I let go of Dom to step away from him but he grabbed me by my waist which infuriated her all the more. She's starting to really aggravate me and that's not a good thing.
"I'm not afraid of you, you washed up wannabe."
"Wannabe? What exactly do I wanna be?" I asked her, sincerely confused.
"You want what I have, you want to be his woman." she smirked.
"I could quite literally care less about what you had. He's pursuing me whether you like it or not and if I reciprocate his pursuance that's my business and his. If you're looking for a fight over Dom you're not gonna get it from me. I don't fight over men." I said, stepping away from Dom's hold.
"Then you don't care about him at all."
"That's where you're completely wrong. Fighting over him isn't how I'd show him that I cared, that's a very immature thought. I'll beat your ass for insulting me but I won't fight over a man. If you're that needy for attention that you would, go to a street race. I'm sure plenty of them would fight you over him. In the meantime, I'd like for someone to take me home before I rearrange her face." I told the guys.
"You could never." she said, taking a step forward.
Leon grabbed her around the waist and pulled someone's shirt over her. Dom tried to grab me again but I sidestepped and avoided his hold. Vince just sighed and as I made my way outside, I saw Mia standing on the stairs. She tried to speak but I just walked outside, now isn't the time to talk about her and Brian.
I really do regret not coming in my own car, I regret coming here at all. They're not going to be able to avoid it forever. Letty and I, we're going to come to blows at some point but I'll be damned if I fight over a man. He's just a man and there's nothing special about that, I'm not gonna lose my dignity over some boy fight.
"Destiny ..."
"V, I'm gonna pop her in the mouth if she keeps coming out her neck at me." I growled.
"That's what I'm trying to avoid. She's crazy but she's like a sister to me." he sighed.
"I'm not asking you to pick sides."
"I know you're not, and you know who I'd pick if it came to that." he argued.
"I know V and I appreciate you for it."
"Nothing to appreciate baby sis, that's how it's supposed to be." he said.
"Listen, I don't want to create and cause chaos in your house so after today I won't be coming back." I told him.
"Come on, this is Dom, Leon, and Jesse's house too. Are you just gonna ignore them?"
"I don't plan on ignoring anyone and I'm gonna go to the garage to work on my baby with Jesse but I won't be coming back to the house. It's for the best and you know it." I told him.
"I know, I just wish it didn't come to this." he sighed.
"She's gonna fucking lose her tongue if she keeps her shit up." I said, pulling a switchblade out of my bra.
"What the hell? Put that away!"
"If she fucking tries me again ..." I growled.
"I know, calm down. Calm the fuck down!"
"You idiot! No man in their right mind tells a pissed-off woman to calm down, much less calm the fuck down. You really chose that kind of violence right now." I told him.
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He sighed.
"Listen, just take me home please."
"You still gonna do that thing with us tonight?"
"Yeah, you all can come get me when it's time."
"Alright, let's go kid." He smiled.
"I swear that I'm gonna cut your brakes." I growled.
"Love you too!" He laughed.
He dropped me off and took off quickly, I don't know what his big rush is to go back to the house. Mia isn't even gonna be there long, today is a late school night. I don't have any pressing work matters so I grabbed a book, my glasses, and plopped down on the sofa to read. I had maybe 10 minutes to myself before someone knocked on my door. Jesus, I know he means well but I'm gonna kill him if he doesn't leave me alone during reading time.
"Vince, I told you I'm ... what are you doing here?" I asked Dom, surprised to see him.
