I watched the guys get ready and could almost hear my heart beating. I felt like my heart was beating directly in my ears, and it's annoying. The nerves and anxiety are real, but this is what we do. It's Dom and Brian and Vince, who refused to sit back but my brother promised me he'll just be driving. Mia and I stood next to each other as they left, and I swear, I've never felt fear like this. I can't lose any of them, not like this, not at all. I walked over to the computers and started pulling up maps and cameras. If I can't be there, I can at least watch them to the best of my abilities.

"They're coming back, right Des?" Mia asked as she sat next to me.

"They're coming back ... they're coming back ... they better fucking come back." I sighed, pressing my hand to my stomach, the same as Mia did.

"They're coming back." she muttered.

We waited to hear from them, waited for our orders, and listened to the madness. It took about 30 minutes for all hell to break loose and boy, did all hell break loose. These men sure know how to create chaos and I'm sad that I'm missing it. Priorities.

"Call it out, Tiny!" Dom shouted.

"You've got a straight shot for two blocks ... turn right now." I told them.

"Got it." Brian said.

We stood where we were and watched them move around the city. My FOMO is getting real and Mia's just laughing at me.

"Well, the plan is working. You guys have every corrupt cop in Rio on your tail. You have to move fast." Mia told them.

"What's the best route?" Brian asked.

"Okay, keep going straight another half-mile onto Rua Fonseca, and then go left." I told them.

"That ain't gonna work, Tiny." Dom said.

"Spikes ahead, Dom. We got spikes." Brian added.

"Damn it." I muttered as I typed.

"We're going right." Dom said.

"No, it's too tight, we're not gonna fit." Brian argued.

"We've got no choice. Now!" Dom ordered.

My heart is racing and the adrenaline is pumping through me as well.

"Baby, am I hearing all this chatter right? Did you two just take out a bank?" I asked them, laughing despite the stress.

"Kinda." Brian chuckled.

"Two inbound." Dom stated.

"Alright, there's an alley coming up on your left." Mia told them.

"Yeah, I got it." Brian replied. "Alright, good job, Dom. Right-hander right here, right-hander."

"Guys, there's a big group coming at you from the south. You gotta do something now and make it count." I told them.

We heard the guys talking as they cleared the way for Dom and Brian. I feel relieved and afraid and stressed and wired up, and I feel like I'm going fucking crazy.

"You guys just carved out a 10-second window. Make it fucking count." I told them.

There was silence for about 5 minutes and that's when my heart rate started to elevate again. Silence isn't good.

"Shit. No! There's too many of them. Hey, there's too many of them. We're not going to make it." Brian said and I let out a deep breath when Mia grabbed my hand, both of us squeezing.

"You're right, we aren't. You are." Dom said, and I felt the tears falling.

"What are you talking about?" Brian asked.
