I almost couldn't keep up with Vince and the boys and that's embarrassing. This rental sucks for a racer. If I wanted to I could just buy one but I don't feel like it, I'll just win one and feed off of the wounded male ego of whatever loser I beat for their car. Once we arrived, I sat in the living room while Vince showered. Dom walked in before Letty but I didn't pay either of them any attention, I did hear her huff of annoyance though. I'm lowkey enjoying aggravating her by simply being present. Although, she's grating my nerves too.

My brother walked down 20 minutes after we arrived and Dom followed him down the stairs. His eyes landed on mine and remained there for a few seconds before my brother interrupted.

"You ready to go?" he asked me.

"I got here ready to go, what are you talking about? So what's the plan?"

"Take you home, check out your place, drop your shitty car off, go to dinner." my brother replied.

"Then we'll meet up at the race." Dom added, looking at me.

There's something about when this guy looks at me. Like he actually looks at me, not my body. He looks me in the eyes and there's something insanely attractive about that. I'm not thick by any means, I wish, but I'm not stick thin either, I've got my curves but still, he looks me straight in the eyes. It's sort of dramatic and really intense.

"My favorite place to be." I smiled and he smiled at me.

"It's been a while since I've seen you behind the wheel at a race." Dom said.

"You got arrested a couple of months before I left and it's been five years since then, I'd assume so. Maybe you'll see me tonight." I smirked.

"When was the last time you raced anyway?" my brother asked.

"Um, last week?"

"You were supposed to be learning." he argued.

"Don't come at me with that bullshit. I went to school, I worked at school, and I raced like a fiend at night. Never been caught either." I smiled.

"Then why didn't you just buy a car?"

"It's funner to win it from a guy who thinks a woman could never beat him and feed off of his tears and wounded ego."

"Yeah, she's your sister." Leon said as he walked into the room.

"Honey, are you gonna be at the race?"

"Who do you think keeps the pigs away, sweetie?"

"Well then, I'll see you there tonight."

"Let's go before he starts drooling." Vince grumbled.

"Bye boys." I said, winking at both of them.

"Are you gonna change?" Vince asked when we walked out the front door.

"Nah, I'm gonna go like this so we can go straight to the rental place."

"Alright, I'll follow you then."

The trip to the rental place was a little bit of a distance but we made the drive in no time, including bad traffic. They processed the refund and told me I'd see it within a week and I was off with my brother. We went to our favorite Meditteranean place and just enjoyed being together for the first time in five years.

"So, you dating anyone?" Vince asked as we ate.

"No more than you are."

"I'll have you know that I see plenty of females."

"Having one-night stands doesn't count as dating you man whore." I laughed.

"I didn't say that I dated them, I said that I saw them. Now stop avoiding the question."
