Chapter 9: No more

Colby

Sam and I fixed things between us the night of his birthday. But there's more. He filled me in about everything Brennen said and did. I can't believe he tried to come between us. I wish Sam had told me sooner but I'm just glad he finally told me. And Brennen will never be able to come between us again. I'm going to make sure of it.

I sit down in front of my camera and turn it on to explain everything that happened: how Brennen tried to come between Sam and I, Sam explains everything Brennen said to him. I upload the video, Sam sitting next to me, holding my hand. About an hour after the video posts, my phone rings. It's Brennen. I motion to Sam to stay quiet and put the phone on speaker.

"Hello?"

"What the hell Colby?"

"Funny. I was going to ask you the same thing. Did you really think I wouldn't find out?"

"Well, umm. no?

"Well, I did. And we're no longer friends. Don't contact me again," I say.

I hang up and block his number.

"You okay?" Sam asks.

"Never better," I say, smiling at him.
