'Get ready, folks!' Shiro exclaimed. 'The second match of the tournament is about to begin!'

'Introducing the Ember Island Eel Hounds!' the host spoke while pointing at the three benders in the left platform that was moving to the field. 'And their opponents, the White Falls Wolfbats!'

'Do anything funny and I'll make sure we lose,' Nike whispered to Tahno and Ming as the crowd applauded.

'And look at that! The Wolfbats new firebender, Nike, has already made herself home!' the radio broadcaster commented while the young lady raised her hands to thank the audience for the applause. 'And she looks like the famous Blue Flame prodigy, folks!'

Shiro had some more words to say, but he had no time left to speak. The first round had begun.

Nike wasted no time and attacked the Eel Hounds' firebender before he attacked her. That team was clearly more experienced than those she had fought against in the last tournament. However, they were no match for her.

'And it's her! It's our Blue Flame prodigy, folks! There is no doubt!' Shiro spoke as he recognized Nike's characteristic moves and techniques. 'And she is flying!'

The female firebender jumped high in the air. Then, she raised her hands and hit the opposing team's firebender and earthbender pushing them back to zone 2. Tahno sent Eel Hounds' waterbender there as well, right before Nike landed on the stolen territory.

'Holy Shu! I've never seen an attack like that!' Shiro talked right before the round ended with the Wolfbats victory.

The next two rounds went to Nike's team as well. The firebender had been the star of both of them, earning the publics' love and cheers.

'Nike is unstoppable, tonight!' the broadcaster exclaimed. 'I don't know how she was able to join two different teams, but I am happy she did!'

The path to the semi-finals was easy. Wolfbats' adversaries were strong, but the team was always able to win. And always without cheating. Nike had demanded that they played far when she joined the team. However, the firebender still had to remind Ming and Tahno of that sometimes.

'No ice, Tahno,' she spoke as they walked to the locker room.

In the room were the Fire Ferrets who had just been qualified for the final. Mako's eyes focused on the door as soon as he heard Nike's voice. Too bad, the first Wolfbat to enter was Tahno and he started mocking the Fire Ferrets right away.

'Ooh, oof. You boys smell something in here?' the waterbender began. 'Wait, I know what that is; yeah, that's the scent of losers.'

'The losers being us if you don't move your ass,' Nike scolded the male as she walked to the platform that would lead them to the field.

Fortunately, the White Falls team didn't lose, but the golden-eyed bender wasn't happy with their victory. Tahno had used ice to help him knock a player out. He had done exactly what Nike had told him not to do! She was furious. But the female had no time to argue. She was already late for work.

When the black-haired young woman was leaving the arena, she crossed paths with Asami and Mako. Seeing them made something inside her twist and as a result of that, she arrived at work in a bad mood.

'Hi, Ember,' Lyra greeted her colleague.

'Go hi yourself,' she replied.

Lyra already knew about her friend's grumpiness, especially after a match. Contrary to what Nike expected, her colleague accepted well the fact that she was bender and even felt happy for her. On the other hand, Nike's boss didn't like that so much, but he did nothing. Ember was a good worker and the less discriminatory customers liked her. On top of that, having the Blue Flame prodigy working at his bar made it safer since bender gangs wouldn't attack it.
