𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧

'And the Capital City Catgators are in the finals!!!' Shinobi exclaimed with enthusiasm right after the bell had rang announcing the end of the match.

The Catgators had defeated the Makapu Moose Lions and couldn't be happier. They were in the finals. Nike could taste the victory already.

'We have to go celebrate!' Akashi said as the team left the arena.

'About that...' Nike began, 'I already have plans.'

Then, Shone and Akashi saw Dane in his Sato Mobile.

'I see,' Shone said with a smile. 'Have fun, Nike!'

Nike got in the car and then Dane began driving. They decided to take a walk near the harbour and the coastal road. They were both smiling and laughing when, all of a sudden, Nike noticed something in the water. It was fire.

Dane noticed it too, 'what is going on there?'

'That's Mako!' Nike exclaimed surprised. 'And Asami!'

Then she noticed the Triple Threat Triad after them. They were all on boats and her friends seemed to be in trouble.

'We have to help them!' Nike said with determination, and she got ready to go.

'Are you crazy?!' Dane asked as he stopped his girlfriend taking her by the arm. 'You've already had trouble with the police, you don't need more.'

'But they need help!' Nike argued and ran to the shore.

'Nike, wait!' Dane shouted. 'It's dangerous!'

When he said those last words, Nike was already flying to the boats using her blue flames. Asami noticed the Blue Flame prodigy jumping from boat to boat and getting closer to them. She sped up and was able to get closer to Nike so she could land on their boat.

'Who are we attacking?' Nike asked.

'Them!' Mako shouted as he sent a fire blast at one of the other boats.

'Weren't you in a match?' Asami asked as she tried to avoid the Triple Threats while maintaining the boa stable.

'It ended half an hour ago,' Nike replied creating an enormous blue flame that hit the boat. Too bad that wasn't enough to stop it.

The speedboat cut through in front of the three friends making their boat swerve. The non-bender tried to get it to work as soon as possible but the engine wouldn't start.

'We're stalled!' she said worriedly as she saw the Triple Threats approaching.

Mako jumped to the front of the speedboat to firebend at them while Nike jumped high.

Mako's attack failed as the boats clashed and he was pushed behind. Fortunately, Nike attacked Viper before he could hit Mako and the two began fighting.

'Go!' Nike shouted at her friends.

'What? No!' Asami said.

'Go! Now!' the firebender insisted as she hit Viper again with a blue flame.

Finally, Asami was able to get the engine started and left with Mako. Nike kept fighting Viper until she knocked him out and he fell into the water. She then looked at Shady Shin.

'Get out or get burned. Your choice.'

The man jumped out of the boat immediately and Nike took the wheel.

Soon, she was home.

Nike was tired and lay on the sofa as soon as she entered the house. Too bad, she couldn't rest for long. Someone knocked at the door. The firebender got up to open it. Her eyes widened with surprise when she saw who had knocked.

'Asami? Is everything alright?' Nike asked as she noticed her sad green eyes.

'I kissed Mako,' she confessed while the golden-eyed female let her inside.

'He broke up with Korra, so...'

'I know, but I still feel bad.'

'I understand,' Nike tried to be nice. 'Do you want some tea?'

Asami nodded and sat on the sofa while Nike prepared some tea for them.

'The thing is... it felt so good,' the non-bender continued.

'Do you still love him?' Nike asked and handed her a cup of tea. 'Be careful, it's still hot.'

'I don't know...'

Then, Asami began crying.

'Everything is going the wrong way,' she sobbed and then began explaining to Nike everything that had happened with Future Industries and how the Triple Threats had been hired to distract Mako and herself while someone stole material from her warehouse.

'I'm sure everything will work out,' Nike said as she put her hand on the lady's shoulder. 'It's true that now things aren't going well, but soon they will. One day at a time. You'll find your peace.'

'Thank you, Nike,' Asami hugged the firebender.

'Don't need to thank me. You've helped me before, especially after everything that happened with Amon.'

'Does the police have any lead on that case yet?' Asami showed her concern.

'No. And I don't think they will ever have,' Nike confessed a little sad.

'Sometimes that's for the best.'

'Yes, sometimes it is.'

The two young ladies remained silent for a while. Then, Nike remembered something, 'what if you come with me to the pro-bending semi-final tomorrow night?'

Asami agreed and then Nike invited her to stay the night as well. The non-bender thanked her and accepted the offer.

On the following night, the two friends went to the pro-bending arena together. Asami was much happier. Varick had just saved her company that day by buying some shares of Future Industries. Nike was happy for her, but she couldn't hide the fact that she still didn't trust the businessman.

'That's your boyfriend, right?' Asami asked as she saw the Frozen Tundra Tiger Sharks entering the playing field. 'He's cute!'

'And he's an amazing pro-bender!' she exclaimed.

'If they win, are you ready to face him in the final?'

'Of course, I am!' the firebender said with excitement.

Asami really hoped Nike was speaking the truth because Dane's team won the match.

'And the Frozen Tundra Tiger Sharks are in the big final!' Shiro exclaimed. 'Will the two lovers be able to face each other with no hard feelings? We will find out really soon, folks! See you all here on the night of the final!!!'
