Nike was arriving at the Southern Water Tribe Cultural Center with Dane when she saw Korra on Naga leading the peace march.
'Shouldn't the Avatar remain neutral in these situations?' Dane asked his girlfriend as he knew she was friends with Korra.
'She should, but the Northern Water Tribe shouldn't have invaded the south so...' Nike replied as they joined the march.
Some protesters gave the couple two candles and Nike lit them using her bending techniques.
The police were all over the place to control the protest and make sure no one got hurt since the people from Northern Water Tribe were getting angry and were against the march especially when they saw Korra leading it.
Suddenly, there was a big explosion in the Cultural Center followed by another and another. Everyone was shocked as they looked at the building catching fire.
'Everybody, get down!' Nike shouted when she saw pieces of burning wood from the building flying in the protesters' direction.
She raised her hands and did a pull motion with them. The fire burned the wood coming in her direction. However, the pieces would still fall on top of the people. That was when Korra stepped in and used airbending to prevent the wood from hurting anyone.
When the protesters were safe, Korra looked at Nike behind her and smiled. Then, the two benders approached the Cultural Center, passing through the police officers. Dane followed them. He wanted to help as well.
While the firemen didn't arrive, Nike bent some of the fire out of the building while Korra and Dane used the water from the fountain with Sokka's statue to extinguish the flames.
'What was this!?' Lin asked Nike hoping she had heard something. She knew the female didn't work at the bar anymore, but she still lived in Ganesa and sometimes she ended up knowing useful things to the police.
'I have no idea,' the firebender replied. 'Whoever did this knew what they were doing. And the explosions... they were odd.'
'It must be the Northerners!' Korra joined the conversation.
'But why would they attack the centre knowing some of their people would be here as well?' Dane asked trying to prove his point and show that the Northern Tribe's relation to that incident wasn't that obvious.
Mako soon arrived at the scene as well. He had something in his hand. However, Korra didn't pay attention to it and began talking.
'The Northern Water Tribe is out of control!' she exclaimed clearly angry.
'I saw a firebender running away from the blast,' Mako explained. 'The North might not be responsible for this.'
Korra however didn't believe his words and turned away leaving him alone. The firebender then noticed Nike and Dane. They were leaving the place already since the firefighters had arrived and were taking care of the situation.
Mako didn't know why or how but seeing Nike there with Dane made him feel... uneasy, sad and upset. He was already upset that Korra hadn't listened to him, but now he was even more annoyed.
'Nike!' he called, and the female turned around. 'Stop right there!'
Nike's golden eyes got filled with surprise. Mako's tone was aggressive, and he didn't look happy.
'You're under arrest for accessory to terrorism,' he spoke with all the seriousness he had as he grabbed Nike by her arm and cuffed her.
'What is this!?' Nike asked confused. 'Why are you arresting me!? This makes no sense!'
