With the answers Brianna had given to Skylar last night, the youngest Stilinski went away to do her own research about the half-bear, half-man monsters.
She had found a lot of lore regarding the creatures such as other valuable weaknesses like their scent. To cut it short they were too cocky to conceal their scent making it a dead giveaway for other supernatural creatures, this happened to explain why Malia could smell "death" before she had even interacted with the berserker.
In addition, Skylar had also done some research into the bones, if they were used in an ancient ritual to fuse man and bear then surely they would be able to be used to un-fuse them. Although she was a vampire now who lacked magical capabilities, Skylar was set to be a witch, at least that's what her grandma told her. Evelyn had stated that the magic gene skips a generation, it wouldn't affect her father or aunt but it would affect her, Stiles and Benny. Of course, there was a time when nobody believed their grandma, Noah chalked up her crazy talk about witchcraft to the lack of medication she wasn't taking.
That being said, a vampire can only be one thing, they cannot possess other qualities. Much like how a fox can't be a wolf simultaneously. If a vampire was a witch they would lose their magic in the transition but if they were a werewolf, lore suggests that they would accept the blood, however, there were stories of failed hybrids often found within Louisiana or Virginia. There had only been one successful hybrid as far as Skylar knew and that's because he was born as a wolf and turned by magic.
"Find anything else?" Liam's voice snapped the auburn-haired girl out of her thinking state, her eyes widening as she placed a hand over her now beating heart,
She sent a glare in his direction causing him to chuckle, "What the hell Liam?!"
He grinned at her, sliding the wooden chair out and sitting down opposite her, they were currently at Beacon Hills Library, thankfully it was open until 3 am, odd opening times but that wasn't even in the top ten odd things of Beacon Hills,
"I just wanted to know if you found anything else?" The duo had gotten a little carried away, they had started with berserker studies but then drifted off into other supernatural creatures such as vampires. Now Skylar was wondering if there was a chance she could be both wolf and vampire, I'm sure with magic and science there was a good chance of survival. It's not like she wanted it to happen but it would be cool to see.
