Rain trickled down the hospital window with the scent of dampness mixing with the low hum of machines and the soft beeping of monitors. To the supernatural teens, the pitter-patter sounded like a thumping from how forceful it was.

Surprisingly the hospital wasn't busy, it may have been a Wednesday but even then it was Beacon Hills, they could never catch a break. Despite this incident, Skylar and Connor's disappearance was the first and only supernatural occurrence during this summer. Although the pack wasn't sure if it was even related to the supernatural.

Visiting hours were over but that didn't stop the teenagers; Stiles, Malia, Liam and Noah had been in Skylar's hospital room whilst Brianna, Brett, Lydia and Scott sat in Connor's. Melissa was on door watch deterring anyone from entering their rooms.

Noah watched his daughter lay still in the bed, she had been clothed by Melissa and the nurses supplied her with some pain medication before noting down her wounds and injuries. Her face pale against the stark white sheets. Wires snaked from her chest and arms, connecting her to machines that measured every breath. Her chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, unusual for someone of her nature. Sky's lips were dry and colourless, parted slightly as if she were about to whisper something but had forgotten how, it appeared that she was in shock. Maybe that is what kept her from remembering.

Beside her, Stiles sat, his eyes red-rimmed and heavy with sleeplessness. He was often sleep-deprived but being filled with dread had him falling asleep on his own hands. "Come on, Sky," he whispered, voice cracking slightly. "You have to wake up kid. You have to."

From the other side, Liam's thumb gently stroked the back of her hand, the warmth of their touch trying to chase away the cold that had settled. Yet Skylar didn't stir, her body almost eerily peaceful, maybe her borrowed time was finally up?

Liam's fingers tightened around her hand; a soft knock on the door broke the moment. Melissa made haste to remove the morphine drip and instead switched it out with blood bags.

Patting his son on the back the oldest Stilinski stood up. He didn't want to leave his daughter, no sane parent would, especially after what happened to Claudia but deep down Sheriff Stilinski knew that she'd be alright, she always was. "I need to the station."

Liam's eyes trailed over her figure, numerous bruises represented the broken bones she had suffered last night, he gave her hand a squeeze wishing for a response- nothing. Black veins crept up his forearm, Liam let out a whimper before he pulled away breathlessly. His teary eyes darted around the room finding Malia, she rolled up her flannel pressing her hand to Skylar.
