Scott carefully laid Tracy's unconscious body onto the workbench in the animal clinic. The dim light from the overhead lamp cast long shadows across the room. Dr. Deaton, having been alerted ahead of time, was already waiting, his tools arranged beside him.

Deaton held a small torch to Tracy's face. He gently lifted her eyelids, shining the light as he watched her response. "Pupils dilate under normal conditions," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.

His hand moved down to her neck, feeling for a pulse. "Heart rate is 250," he said as his fingers lightly brushed her skin. Deaton frowned, pulling back Tracy's thick sweater to reveal her bare shoulder. "Evidence of an allogeneic skin graft on the right shoulder," he observed.

Suddenly, Tracy's body twitched, her neck lifting slightly despite her unconscious state. A thin line of silver liquid glistened on her lips. Deaton leaned in closer, his brows furrowing in confusion. "Now, this silvery substance... it's not something I've seen before. It almost looks like mercury."

Scott, standing nearby, squinted as he leaned in for a closer look just as Stiles approached. In the background, Connor, Malia, and Skylar hung back, watching. Skylar's was on edge, she shifted uncomfortably at Tracy's movement.

"Mercury?" Connor echoed, his voice drawing the attention of the others. Five sets of eyes turned toward him.

"Yeah," Connor continued, glancing at the metallic substance. "That's what they found in my blood after I went missing. I had high levels of mercury, to the point of poisoning." He turned toward Skylar, "They found traces in you too."

"Dude, stop airing out our business " she muttered.

Malia's sharp voice cut through the room. "When we found you last night, you were bleeding mercury from your nose," she added,
