26. Oh you should know what I want

I wasn't exactly the best in playing piano but Niko had taught me well enough so I was able to play the song. After practicing maybe an hour, I felt myself confident enough to record it. I wanted to sing the song later on, just for fun. And just because I really loved it. I wasn't going to share it with anyone but it was something that I felt I needed to do. So I went in to the booth,  sat behind the piano and started to play. When I was done for the first time I went to listen the result but I wasn't happy with the first try so I played it few more times before I was satisfied with the outcome. I saved the recorded piano version on my hard drive so it would be there when I had the chance to try singing on it. I still had some time left before the others arrive, so I took out my phone and opened Netflilx.

The uncomfortable feeling against my side got more and more disturbing and I heard some muffled talking on the background.

"Babe?" Aleksi's voice was carried into my ears. I opened my eyes and slowly lifted my head up just to notice six pairs of eyes looking at me.

"What time it is?" I asked yawning and looked at Aleksi who was looking me confused.

"Half past nine. How long have you been here already? You were like dead sleep when we got here half an hour ago" he said and handed me his coffee. I took a sip from it and placed the mug back on the table.

"Since 5 or so" I said and yawned again.

"What, why?" Joonas asked while tuning his guitar.

"No idea to be honest.. My cat woke me up too early and I couldn't go back to sleep so I came here and looks like I eventually fell asleep" I didn't want to mention the song because otherwise they would make me sing it now but I wasn't really ready for it and I didn't even want them to hear me singing that. Not that I was shy about covering an anime opening but because I knew that I might get emotional while singing it.

"You should go back home to sleep" Aleksi said while playing with my hair. I kept sipping the coffee and waited it to kick in.

"Wish I could but I have to do the inventory for the merch. New stuff coming in next week" I yawned again.

"What are you guys up to today?" I then asked and leaned against Aleksi. He wrapped his hand around me and gave me a light kiss on my head. I was in heaven for a moment before he opened his mouth.

"I'm going to continue working with Robin later today... And I'll be away until Sunday I guess"

I looked at him with a bit sad face. Yes I knew he had to work and get the song done and it happened mostly when they both had some spare time to work with it. But why it had to be the weekends? Especially this weekend. Our first weekend together after confessing our feelings.

"I'm sorry babe.." he whispered after seeing that I got a bit disappointed. And he wasn't the only one. Joel was sitting across me and I could catch his eyes on mine for a short moment before he turned his eyes back on his phone.

"It's ok.. What time do you have to leave?" I asked just to know am I even able to have a lunch with him or was he going to pack his stuff and leave like right now.

Aleksi looked at the clock on the wall and sighed.

"Sometime around three" I nodded to him and stood up to put the mug away.

Aleksi followed me to the small kitchen corner that was separatedfrom the remaining space with a sliding door.

"Is everything ok?" I heard him asking behind me and closing thedoor. I placed the mug into the sink and turned around.
