Chapter 6: discovery

Beca never thought she would ever say this but "thank god it's Friday." Beca said sighing at lunch with Benji and jesse around her looking at her like she grew a third head. Jesse spoke first "okay...wait is this the real beca?" He said waving his right hand infront of her face as she slapped his hand away. Jesse rubbed his hand in pain as Benji joined in "oh god, this is how all robot movies start. First they start saying stuff that is out of character, then They start becoming hot." Benji said confused, "okay wait, I got that wrong." Benji said stratching his chin. Jesse laughed "yea no, beca's not a robot, she's not even that hot." Jesse said playfully as beca gasped "how dare you?! At least I could actually get dates, Benji I'm looking at you." Beca said appointadly to Benji as he pouted "hey...not fair." Beca and jesse laughed "ah but sir how it is true." Beca said in a toned British accent. Benji and jesse looked at each other confused then shrugged and laughed. "What's with the accent, oh! Are you tryin out for the Shakespeare play Aubrey Posen is directing?! Because me too!" Benji said gasping. Beca looked at him strange "no...I was just doing a British accent, what's so wrong about that?" Beca said drinking her grape soda. Jesse shrugged "it's just that I've never even heard you do an accent in the week you've been here, it's just strange hearing it from someone so emo that is you." Jesse said shrugging innocently. Beca huffed "I'm not that emo." Beca said flipping her hair out of her face. Benji chuckled "yea..so not emo." Benji said sarcastically. Beca huffed once again and threw a fry at benjis hair. "Hey! Don't mess with the money maker!" Benji said fluffing his brown curls. Beca and jesse laughed. "Oh god Benji, are you just doing that ridiculous play just for that really straight riligious, May I remind you, girl?" Jesse asked Benji incredously. Benji nodded "yea, why else would I would be doing it? For the creative skills? No." Benji said shuddering. Beca laughed "wow." Jesse gasped "I can't beleive you, I'm auditioning because I love the arts! And I also happen to be gay, my people love that shit, but that doesn't count." Jesse said confidently. Beca laughed "what I can't beleive is that both of you are trying out for something." Beca said biting her stale chip. Jesse gasped "Becky! Your not gonna audition?!" Beca scoffed "no, why would I?" "Because from what we just heard that British accent was pretty damn good." Jesse said. Benji nodded "I'll even say that it was pretty damn good beca, you should." Benji said nodding in aggrement with jesse. Beca sighed heavily "guys, I don't want to, it's-" jesse interrupted "we know, lame and boring, or not my style guys." Jesse said impersonating beca's using a boring brooding tone. Benji lost it and started choking on his chocolate milk, beca gaped at jesse "dam it, I would be really pissed off if that wasn't so dam good!" Beca said praising him. Jesse bowed in his seat "I'm here every week folks." Beca and Benji laughed. Jesse grabbed beca's right hand and got down on one knee out of his seat "beca, last name here, will you please do me the honor and please audition for a role for this ridiculous play?" Jesse said softly, beca looked around panicked as she saw some people watching this horrifying scene in front of her "oh god! Jesse you son of a-fine!" Beca whisper shouted and pulled jesse up and forcefully puts jesse back in his seat. Jesse smiled wide and proud "yes! You won't regret this beca! The arts are amazing!" He said excitingly. Beca softly slammed her head down on the table and groaned "why me god?" Beca said whining. Benji laughed "come on, it won't be that bad, just reading lines, singing, danc-" beca's head snapped up "what? Singing?! Jesse!" Beca shouted as she turned to look at jesse but he was already halfway down the lunch mess hall waving goodbye as he jogged away. Beca growled and put her head back down "Fuck my lif-" beca was interrupted as she felt someone sit next to her "what's wrong cupcake?" Beca perked up and saw Chloe sitting next to her concerned. Beca then just realized what Chloe called her and scrunched her face in disgust "ew, did you just call me cupcake, red?" Beca asked her disgusted. Chloe pouted "it sounded good in my head, I swear. I'll keep trying." Chloe said determined to find beca a nickname for her. Beca chuckled "don't sweat it." Beca glanced to Benji and saw him gaping at both of them "beca, what? How? W-When?!" Benji asked her surprised and shocked. Beca laughed and looked at Chloe looking at Benji weirdly "is he okay?" Chloe asked her and scooted next to beca scared a little of beca's 'friend' beca nodded and patted Chloe's left shoulder with her right hand softly "he's fine. Right benji? Your fine?" Beca asked him firmly. Benji still gaping nodded dumbly "I-I got to go." Benji said getting out of his seat like a zombie and moving slowly towards the lunch halls exit. Chloe snorted in laughter "well that wasn't at all weird." Beca chuckled "right? Sorry about him, he's usually normal." Beca said sipping her soda, reading some notes to the right to her. Chloe nodded and decided to Chang the subject "so what ya doin shorty?" Chloe asked her teasingly. Beca almost spit her drink out "oh god, please don't let that be my new nickname." Beca begged Chloe. Chloe laughed "no, I just wanted to see your face." Chloe's said laughing. Beca huffed "jerk. And I'm studying for your information." Beca said continuing to read. Chloe hummed "so interesting I forgot to be interested." Beca tried not to grin "okay, what?" Chloe smiled "you know me so well, but I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this weekend?" Chloe asked beca hopeful. Beca smiled at Chloe "sure, after school I'll meet you at your place?" Beca asked Chloe curiously. Chloe beamed and nodded excitingly "yes! Okay, see ya bec bec!" Chloe shouted leaving the beca's table, beca groaned "no!" Beca shouted back and saw Chloe smirk and stick her tongue out at her, beca shook her head as she smiled contining to study.
