Beca left Chloe's house a couple hours ago and decided to walk through town on her way home. She sees all of the people passing by her looking happy and all she feels is empty. Mainly because of these brain pills or whatever they gave her to settle down her seizures. It was a whole list of side effects to them, which doesn't give Beca much hope to feeling better any time soon. Well either than that, Beca had a great time meeting Chloe's mom and having dinner with them. Beca learned a lot more about Chloe than she already originally has. Chloe's mom of course showed Beca Chloe's baby pictures, much to Chloe's heavy protesting. Mrs. Beale also spoke about Chloe's father to Beca, saying how he should be home already but they made him stay another week since the holidays. To say Beca was looking forward to meeting him was a lie. Beca has never been good at meeting her old girlfriends parents. They usually saw her as a bad influence towards their daughters. Beca wouldn't blame them either, I mean she was a little shit back when she was sixteen. She also didn't hang out with the right crowd anyways. She shouldn't be nervous now since she's changed a lot since then, but she can't help but feel awkward at finally meeting both of Chloe's parents. Well because that means that Chloe and her were becoming an official couple. Of course they established that they were both exclusively seeing each other, But this makes it all the even more real. Beca can't believe she even has a girlfriend again, let alone being attached to someone in the condition she's in. I mean for god sakes her brain is slowly shutting down! Beca scoffed to herself, No...you know what?! She's not going back to the my life is over state. She's had enough of feeling depressed all the time. It's been two years of this shit, no more...she's got Chloe now. That makes Beca's face split into a wide smile, shoving her hands into her pockets with a sigh of happiness. How did she get so lucky to find a girl like Chloe? I guess her luck is finally turning around, well emotionally not physically of course. She can't do anything but wait and smell the flowers while she can. Meaning she should be enjoying life while she can, not staying home all the time and waiting for Chloe to get home so she can go visit her. Don't get her wrong she loves spending time with Chloe. Beca just wants to be able to actually like going out again. Which is why she's formulated a plan to take Chloe out tomorrow night. They haven't even gone on a date yet, because of one of two reasons. One, because Chloe has been busy studying for her SATs. Number two because Beca has been in a funk lately, due to all the MRI's they've been doing on her to determine if she will be strong enough to make it through the surgery. Which so far, it's been nothing but positive results. "Hey, you!" Beca jumped at the booming voice and spun around to look for the person who just yelled when she just realized that she has walked half across town by now. Beca was in the main part of town, where everyone goes to party at this time of night. "You with the cool jacket, you wanna make a quick buck?" Beca turned to the voice to her left side and saw a young woman peeking out from a back door in the alley way to her left. "What?" Beca asked her confusedly. The woman huffed annoyingly and walked towards Beca quickly, "look I don't have much time here, do you know how to play a guitar?" The young woman asked her desperately. Beca nodded confusingly as the woman sighed in relief and grabbed Beca and started pulling her harshly towards the back entrance. "Woah! Where are we going?!" Beca shouted nervously as she was pulled through a back of the building. Beca was pulled through a kitchen where two workers were on their smoke break chatting to each other. Beca could hear shouting and music blaring out near the kitchen door and then the mysterious girl pulled her out the door with her. Beca knows where she is now by the people dancing and jamming out to the music. It was a local known bar where local bands would perform regularly. The girl then started pulling her along through the crowd and up the side of the stage and to the back. "Oh thank god, Ryan it's Liz!" A blonde girl stood up with one other boy behind her tending to another boy who was unconscious. "Liz what the fuck, we are about to go on! Where did you go?!" Ryan asked Liz angrily. Liz huffed and pulled Beca beside her, "I was busy looking for Kevin's replacement, this is...what's your name?" Liz looked towards Beca questioningly, Beca cleared her throat "I'm Beca, but-" Liz turned towards her annoyed, "Listen Beca, we need a new guitarist since our old one Ryan graciously picked out, has stage fright and passed out on us." Ryan huffed and stood up crossing his arms, "Does she even know how to play?" Liz nodded and smirked at him, "Of course she does you dunce!" Liz then turned back to Beca, "Look Beca whatever we get for doing this gig we will give you whatever we were gonna pay Kevin." Liz said gesturing her hand to the unconscious boy. Beca was about to deny but then she saw all of them looking at her pleadingly, except for Ryan he just looked angry. She sighed and nodded, "Fine..." Liz and the other girl Beca didn't get the name of yet high fives each other while Ryan huffed and grabbed his drum sticks from the back of his pocket. "Just try to follow along will ya?" Ryan asked her gruffly. Beca rolled her eyes at him and nodded. "Thanks for this Beca, I'm Brittney by the way." The blonde girl said reaching her hand out to shake Beca's. Beca smiled at her slightly and shook her hand, just then the band on stage stopped playing and everyone cheered loudly behind the curtain. "Well here we go guys, let's rock this shit!" Liz said excitingly as they all walked on stage. The instruments were already waiting for them there, as Beca saw Liz run up to the microphone and Ryan and Brittney go to their instruments. Brittney had a bass guitar and a microphone in front of her while Ryan went straight for the drums. Beca then went for the only other instrument there which was the electric guitar on the other side of Liz and pulled the strap over her head and readied her fingers on the chords. "Hi everyone! We are The Royals!" Liz screamed out into the microphone as the crowd screamed in delight. Liz turned around and nodded at Ryan, Ryan rolled his eyes at her and started the beat.
