FP made his way into Hermione and Mary's apartment on his day off, hoping to see that someone was free too to hang out for a little while. He found Hermione there, having filled her apartment walls with sketches, pictures and little samples of fabrics.
"Wathcha doing, Little Mouse?" FP chirped, walking further into the apartment to peek over her work.
"Working on this new design. What do you think?" She showed her latest sketch, and nervously bit the pencil in her hand.
"You're asking me?" FP asked, finding it amusing.
The only thing in his closet were a million flannels, plain shirts and denim jeans. Fashion wasn't really his field of knowledge.
"I think you'd better ask Mary or Alice for advice." He said, making Hermione sigh deeply.
"Are you okay?" FP sat down on one of the chairs, sensing that she was highly stressed.
"I need to make something spectacular, FP. I want to make a name of myself." She told him, while scanning through all her paperwork to see if maybe there was a masterpiece she had overlooked.
"You've got this job without anyone's help, you will make it, Mione." He assured her, giving her a warm smile.
FP had always believed in her. She worked hard and she was talented, he knew that was going to pay off someday.
"I hope so." She gave him a smile in return, even when she found his words hard to believe.
"You know who would be able to give me advice?" Hermione arched her eyebrow as she looked at FP.
"My mom." She said.
"Still not heard of her, huh?" FP questioned, while already knowing the answer.
"No. I don't think she'll ever want to talk to me again." Hermione chuckled bitterly. She was trying to be mad, but deep in her heart she was hurt.
"I miss her, FP." She confessed quietly, her eyes glossing over with tears.
"Hey, shhh." He quickly pulled her closer in an attempt to comfort her, while she sniffed in his arms.
"Somebody who doesn't love you for who you are isn't worth your tears." He said softly, while stroking her hair. A quick peck on top of her head followed.
"You've got us now, we're your family." FP promised lovingly, by taking her hands into his own.
"I love you." She said, feeling already better because of her best friend.
"Love you more." He answered, smiling at her.
"How are you holding up?" Hermione wondered, knowing that ever since moving in with Fred he was trying real hard to get his life back on track, if it ever was.
"First week at the Wyrm was fine. I am surprised they even wanted me there." He said, chuckling a little.
"At least my dad isn't there anymore." FP shrugged. It seemed the only bright side off it all.
"Don't you regret not going to his funeral?" Hermione asked, even when she knew it was a tough subject for him to talk about.
"No. Not for a second. He can fucking rot in hell." FP scoffed, but Hermione could see the shimmer of hurt in his innocent brown eyes.
"Sorry, I know you think nobody deserves hell. Forgot that you were a Christian." He chuckled slightly.
"I do usually believe that, yes. But your father did deserve that, for what he did to you." She told him, giving him a weak smile.
