Alice had been walking around like a ghost so pale after leaving the doctors office. One thing was for sure, her body was acting up for a very clear reason. She still wasn't sure she heard it right, but she asked over and over again if it was really true. Test don't lie, they say. Or well, sometimes they do, but this doctor knew what she was saying.

Alice was undeniably pregnant.

She had been convinced it was her past addiction that had made her so tired, it couldn't have been anything else. Pregnancy hadn't even crossed her mind, not for a second.

Alice wasn't even sure what to do next. Was she going to raise this baby? Had she to do it alone or would FP step up? Could she afford a child and most importantly; did she think she was cut out to be a mother?

There were a thousand questions that she didn't have an answer to, but she knew her first step— she needed to tell the father of her baby. He would have answers, right?

She had walked her way home, since taking the bus made her nauseated, but the closer she came to the building she lived in, the faster her heart raced.

However, she believed it was better to be straight forward then to keep a secret, especially considering her relationship with FP already was so incredibly complicated.

How was she supposed to tell her ex-boyfriend who she regularly hooked up with but was now dating someone else and wanted distance from her that he was going to be a father?

Before she knew it, she stood in front of his apartment door and knocked softly. To her luck, he opened the door, having a calm look on his face that would soon fade.

"FP, can I talk to you? Please?" Her voice was small, and she felt like disappearing into the earth.

"Sure, what's up?" He gestured for her to come further, blissfully unaware from the bomb she was about to drop.

Alice sat down on the couch, and he turned his attention fully to hear what she wanted to say, but she was frozen.

"Al? Hello?" He waved his hand in front of her face and chuckled a little when she seemed to snap out of it.

"Sorry." She croaked.

"I've been to the doctor today, because I wasn't feeling well, remember?" Alice began carefully, making him remember their conversation on the roof on the 4th of July.

"Yeah, is it something bad?" He frowned slightly, afraid to hear that her addiction might have some long term side effects that were worse than expected.

"Depends on what you would call bad news." She gave him a small smile, but when he looked confused she decided to finally share the news she had gotten this morning.

"I'm pregnant." She confessed quietly.

FP froze.

"You know, that night that Poppy came back to town? We weren't particularly safe and well, now I'm having your baby." She added, explaining how it could have happened.

That night had been special for the both of them, something that they still hadn't spoken about. There had been so much love and they had been so gentle with one another, making it all the more scary to actually face the feelings that hid behind those gestures.

"Can you say something?" Alice asked nervously, when she looked at the stoic expression on his face.

"I know you're together with Gladys and it's a big mess, but please talk to me. Anything." She said once more, when she noticed how he was struggling for words.
