"Good morning, I made you some eggs." Mary had been up for a while now, wanting nothing more than to take good care of her guest. She smiled brightly before setting the plate in front of Poppy.
"That's very sweet of you, honey." Hermione kissed her girlfriend, loving how caring she is for their visitor.
"These smell delicious, Mary. Thank you. Wouldn't have minded whipping up breakfast for us, since you're letting me stay here." Poppy felt a little guilty for not contributing, but accepted the plate nonetheless.
"You're our guest, it's fine." Mary brushed it off. She loved taking care of people.
"Looks like you've started a hotel for lost women." Alice joked slightly, before grabbing a plate herself.
"I'm going to bring some to FP." She told them, before leaving out of the apartment.
She assumed he wasn't going to come in by himself. On her way out, she bumped into Fred, who greeted her and made his way into the apartment.
"Are you going to talk to him today?" Hermione wondered, believing they eventually had to.
"I don't know, it's clear he doesn't want to. I've said some pretty harsh things yesterday." Poppy's cheeks turned red.
"These feelings have been stuck inside me for years, I think I just exploded." She knew it might not be an excuse, but she wasn't sure what else to do anymore.
"Fred, how's he doing?" Hermione asked, thinking that his roommate probably knew best.
"I have no clue, he won't talk to me, which is weird because he always does. Hopefully Alice has more success." Fred sighed deeply. He had truly tried it, but it seemed that there was only person he could speak to.
"Here, take some eggs." Mary handed him over a plate, assuming he was hungry.
Fred eagerly started to eat, always loving it when Mary cooked for them.
"I could make dinner for you sometime, you look like a big eater." Poppy smiled as she looked at him.
"Yeah, your brother rubbed that off on me. Are you a good cook?" Fred wondered, with his mouth half full.
"I'm a chef actually. So yes, I'd say I'm pretty great in the kitchen." Poppy grinned proudly.
"But I have to say, Mary's cooking is really great." She took another bite, genuinely impressed.
"In that case, I'd love to have dinner. Maybe we could do it all together?" Fred proposed, looking at Mary and Hermione too.
"It'd be nice to catch up with all of us, don't you think?" He smiled kindly.
"Absolutely." Poppy smiled back, though feeling a little disappointed because he didn't caught into what she was really trying to say.
"What do you guys do?" She asked, now she had revealed what her professional job was.
"As for right now, I'm a lawyer." Mary said.
"Must be nice for FP, he always used to get into trouble. Is that still the same?" Poppy teased a little. She remembered him being a rebel.
"Pretty much, yeah." Mary chuckled. Poppy then focused on Fred again.
"FP and I own Andrews Constructions, it used to be my Dad's company." He told her, smiling proudly.
"My brother does that?" She wondered softly, not ever having expected that from her.
"Yeah, we just started but he's been a big help. It's nice having him." Fred smiled softly.
