Hermione was nervously waiting outside of the Wyrm, tapping her feet on the ground underneath her, afraid that maybe FP had changed his mind. However, just when she was about to leave, FP came from the entrance and rushed her way.
"Sorry that it took me some long, Hog Eye was late and he had to take my shift." He explained quickly.
"It's alright, but we have to hurry up. If we're late he's going to leave." Hermione said, referring to their appointment. They couldn't risk anything.
"You think this is a good idea, Mione?" FP questioned, growing insecure. Mary had warned them, and right now she was the voice in his head telling him to quit it.
"If this means he'll leave Alice alone it is. I hate to say it but she isn't really mentally stable at the moment, we have to protect her. Together, we can take that weight." Hermione told him, reminding him of why they were done this.
They walked towards her car and fastened their seatbelts, before taking off to where they were meant to go together.
"It's sweet of you to do all that for her, after everything." FP said, breaking the tension filled silence.
"Says you. I am not the one who was left with a broken heart." Hermione looked at him knowingly. She didn't fully understand FP's motive to do this, but she still supported it.
"Speaking of broken hearts, you've been awfully nice towards each other. Is that the next stage? Pretend kindness?" She wondered, having noticed the same as Fred and Mary had.
"No, we're not pretending." FP said, knowing he had to tell her what was going on. He didn't want to hide something from her.
"We slept together. Twice." He revealed.
"And please don't give me a lecture, Fred already did that." FP said defensively, not being in the mood for that.
"And you are sure you don't need a second one?" Hermione said sassily, knowing perfectly well that FP didn't take advice that fast.
"Suddenly makes it clear why you want to do this for her." She said softly, which somehow struck a nerve in him.
"For fuck's sake why does everybody think I'm in love with Alice?" He said angrily, clearly frustrated.
"I got over that. I was pissed about how she left things, but we know what happens now. If anything, Hal's the one I should be mad at. Not Alice." He said, more calmly.
"Is this going to happen again?" Hermione questioned.
"Probably, yeah." FP said.
"Well, you both deserve to have some fun." She concluded, giving him a small smile.
"You're supporting this? You're the biggest romantic I know." FP said confused, expecting for her to flip out and tell him off.
"Okay no, that's Fred, but you're up there." He pointed out, which was a valid point.
"Yes, but if you think you're both okay with hooking up, who am I to judge?" Hermione shrugged her shoulders.
"You're always judging, I'm almost concerned you're not doing it right now." FP said, chuckling slightly.
"Look, do I think this is a smart move? Obviously not. But you're both acting like friends again, so I have no reason but to be happy about it. I'd rather have this than sit in between the two of you fighting." Hermione told him, which was the honest truth.
In the end it was their life and their mistake to make, but at least it meant the rest had a moment of peace and weren't expecting for the bomb to explode between them.
