After the beach concert Jc and I went to a restaurant. My feet were aching from the dancing.

"I can't believe you dragged me down almost a street and part of the beach just for a concert." Jc laughed. "Well music speaks to me, I would've ran to it if you weren't so slow!" I smirked.

He laughed. He grabbed my hand from across the table and rubbed his thumb across my fingers. "So did you have fun last night with that Ethan guy?"

I felt my heart stopped, I didn't think he remembered. "Um ya. It was a lot different than I thought it would be." I giggled. "tell me about it, what did you guys do?" He asked.

"Well it started out with a nice breakfast. We spent three hours talking about nearly anything and everything, afterwards I met his family which weren't too fond of me." I laughed "But all in all I got to get to know a genuine human being that talked to me in a real sense. I felt safe to talk to him and all was well." I finished.

"Hm, sounds...BORING!" My eyes grew wide when Jc said that. "wha-- what?" I said pulling my hand away. "I mean come on! The guy took you out for a date all day and didn't being you out dancing or anything? Come on Nally I know you like to swing them hips. Let me tell ya the guy is a total buzzkill." Jc seemed so relaxed about it, as if we were discussing the weather.

I felt my heart pump faster as I froze and locked onto the eyes I thought were once kind and caring but were now filled with ignorance and jealousy.

I guess he noticed I had been silent "Nally? Hey come on it is like in being mean, I'm just being truthful." he laughed. I shook my head and realized I was still in time, "Jc..." I sighed. "Now don't tell me you would've traded a night for dancing or a concert just to sit and talk for three hours!" He laughed.

"I... I do like to dance..." I admitted in a timid voice. "See that's my girl." I looked up at him with a glare. i sat up firm. "Two things Jc. One, I am not 'your' girl, we aren't a status... and two, I would trade dancing, or going to a concert for a genuine talk!" Jc's eyes widened.

"I actually appreciate a man putting down his guard and being an actually human for once." I grabbed my purse and made my way to the exit dialing Ally's number.

It began to ring until Jc grabbed my phone and ended the call before she could answer. "Hey my phone!" I said as he lifted his arm up in the air.

"Give me back my phone!" I yelled as I jumped in the air for my phone. "not until we talk!" He said putting the phone in his pocket and lifting me up over his shoulder.

"Put me down you hooligan!" I yelled. he sat me down at the booth and I sat there anger like a child. As he sat across from me I refused to make eye contact.

"I thought you didn't like talking, that it was boring to you." I mumbled with anger. "it's not that Nally is just--" I shifted my head to him "It's just what Jc? That you're more focused on sex, getting with a girl, and going to clubs instead of getting to know the person?" I said.

He grabbed my hands. "It's because every girl I've tried to make it work with, they never like that stuff. I thought you were the same... but I should've known you were different. I like having meaningful talks with people too." I raised brow and pulled away my hands.

"Cut the BS Jc." I said "Okay fine it sounded cheesy." I scoffed "but it's true." my eyes grew wide and I looked to him. "maybe the way I said it wasn't exactly in my personality. But it was true."

I now felt guilty and lowered my head. I felt something next to me. It was Jc. "Look just let me take you to my favorite spot in LA, and we can talk, for real."

I looked up at him, again getting lost in those eyes. My nerves were a bit on edge. My brain was telling "no!" But my heart pushed me into his arms.

I always knew my heart was my best friend, even though it can be stupid at times. Jc took my hand and we went out. He called an uber and we got in.

We didn't talk the whole way, I merely stared out the window at the people, the buildings, the road, everything. We finally stopped and we got out.

Jc grabbed my hand and we continued to walk. "Where are we going?" I asked "If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise." he laughed.

"Well how far must we walk?" I asked "Not far, a block or two." my eyes grew wide. I looked down at my shoes, I had put on my high heels that look like converse-like sneakers. "Great..." I said groaning.
