My feet were aching, why did I put these shoes on...
I then tripped. "OW!" I yelled. My knee hit the concrete. "Nally?" Jc said helping me up.

"Are-- are you okay?" He stutter. I bit my lip with all my force and finally I took a deep breath. "I'm fine..." I released my hands from the hurt area, it was red.

"Nally! You're bleeding." j said "well look at that, I am. Oh well." I got up. "Nally what are you doing you're hurt." Jc stood up as well. "Ya. It's just a scratch. I'm just thankful it isn't worse." I pulled out a makeup wipe from my purse and wiped off the dirt and blood surrounding it. "I'll be fine." I grabbed Jc's hand.

"Let's just keep going." I smiled even though my knee was killing me. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Ya." he nodded and we began walking.

Not too long after did my knee buckle. "Okay maybe I could jut crawl." I laughed with embarrassment.

"Nally." Jc picked me up. "Jc I'm fine put me down." I demanded. "No you aren't." My eyes grew wide. "You hurt your knee, and now it buckled. I'm not putting you down until we get there." Jc went on walking.

"Jc I will count to three and you put me down!" I mumbled through my clenched teeth. "1...2...3!" He still walked with me in his arms.

No matter how hard I struggled he wouldn't put me down. Finally I just gave up, I stared at my knee, how much pain came from one moment.

"Why?" I heard Jc say. "Huh?" I questioned. "Why wouldn't you let me help you?" I shifted my eyes away. "Nally." he said. I remained silent. "Nally! I know you can hear me." he said

"I don't wanna talk about it! Just save it for the spot!" I finally blurted out. He shook his head with disappointment.

It was about 10 minutes later that we got there. It was an abandoned apartment, house, place thing. He went up a few flights of stairs until coming to a door and there we were.

We were on a roof towering the entire Los Angeles area. He set me down on the ground and I stood in awe. "You like it?" He asked walking behind a shelter thing.

"Like it? I'm speechless. How did you find this place?" I asked. "Well one day I was pretty upset. I didn't wanna talk to anyone, or do anything. But I had to move. I just walked and walked and walked until I came across this place."

He came over to me and set down two chairs. We both sat down and he pulled out some waters. "I stayed here and watched the sunset. I was able to think clearly and understand the situations that had happened better without being pressures by walls or people."

I nodded with understanding. "So what about you?" He asked taking a sip of his water. "me?" I asked with a small bit of laughter. "Ya what happened? Why didn't you want my tiniest bit of help? And you aren't leaving until you tell me." he laughed on that last part.

I sighed, squinted my eyes and took a sip of water as if it was shot of liquid courage. "It was middle school." I blurted. "I moved schools leaving all of my... teachers behind... I didn't have friends in my first school." I avoided eye contact.

"I was started to get adjusted when the popular girl..." I shook my head trying to get rid of that pain. "the popular girl wanted to be my friend... I told her an embarrassing story of when I was 7 my dog peed on my face." Jc restrained a laugh.

"Okay see this isn't why I didn't wanna tell anyone!" I got up and crossed my arms. "No no no baby please I'm sorry..." he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my shoulder.

"Please continue." he whispered. I felt warm and wiggled out of his grasp. "she told the whole school that I drink dog pee... They made fun of me and put dog pee on my gym clothes for three weeks..." I rubbed my arm.
