Chapter 5: Its not what it looked like!

It was an awkward silence at first. Andrea was checking her mentions on twitter and on instagram.

Jc was just driving, being silent and I was back here looking out the window dreading dropping off Andrea. Does she even know him and I dated? Like for three years?

Oh glob! My chest hurts now, you know what don't sweat it! I mean I'm not that ex-girlfriend that gets jealous and tries to sabotage the relationship... besides missing him is just a part of moving on...

I just watched as cars drove by and the ever moving road... I would usually be on my phone right now but I felt too sick to look at a bright screen.

"So Nally!" I quickly turned around to Andrea "will you be close to the house?" She asked. "Um..." I pulled out a piece of paper I wrote the address on. "Just 2 blocks away? So I won't be too far." I said folding the paper.

"Awesome! So we can hang out!" She said with a smile "We-we can?" I asked awkwardly. "ya you, me, jc and kian." I looked at jc, he looked at me from the rearview mirror.

"Sounds like fun!" I nervously laughed. "awesome!" Andrea said hugging me. We stopped and jc said "Well here we are." Andrea got out and I helped her with her bags and Jc did as well.

"Oh wait I forgot my phone in the car." Andrea said leaving jc and I getting her bags. "does she know kian and I?" I whispered "No, kian hasn't told her..." I rolled my. I pulled out a rolling bag and Andrea came from no where now standing in front of me.

"So hey since we just got to see each other and I know you're gonna busy all week so why not come in just for a little while? Then jc can go back to driving you to your apartment!" She was so happy and bubbly to see me.

Weird. "well Andrea you see--" "great let's go!" She grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside. "Kian!" Andrea said "go ahead and get comfy I bet he'll be surprised to see you." she smiled.

I went over to the couch and slouched down hoping kian wouldn't make a big deal of seeing me, trust me I'm not too thrilled to see his stupid face either.

I pulled up my hoodie and crossed my arms getting lost in thought.

You know what I'm sure we can both be mature about this whole thing! I mean it's been what? Like 4 months?
It's not like he would remember me with Andrea around, her bubbly, kind, loud self must've erased all recollection that I was even part of his life.

I began to smile in comfort of that thought. "Hey babe!" Kian said. I turned around just slightly to see him and Andrea kissing. "hey baby, so I bumped into an old friend of ours at the airport. I thought we could all catch up as Jc comes in with my bags." she said bringing him over to the living room.

My heart started pumping faster and faster. My hands started getting clammy! Ugh not now, I felt my face get hot. I turned around and tried to breathe.

I buried my hair in my hoodie and tried to make myself look different and hope Andrea doesn't tell him who I am right away.

He sat in a smaller couch right across from me as Andrea sat on his lap. "Nally?" Shit... he recognized me.

"So you do remember her!" Andrea said with a smile. "um ya... We use to be really good friends until after high school." kian said.

No use in hiding anymore I took a deep breath and sat up and removed my hoodie. Kian's eyes grew wide.

"Whoa!" He said. "what?" I asked. "you're hair! Your ends are purple... you got tanner, please don't tell me you have tattoos!" Kian said with a smile.

I tried to act as if we were friends. "ha, no I didn't go that far. I still gotta look like a college student." I crossed me arm with a smirk. "What about that?" Andrea asked pointing I my ear.

"Huh?" I felt my ear. "Oh ya I got a chain... It's not pierced you just put the end on the back of your earring and put the cuff on the top of your ear." I said as they both nodded.

I heard something fall behind us. "Jc?" I said jumping over the couch and helping him up. "thanks, Andrea your bags seem to get heavier ever time to come here." Jc laughed.

"Haha stop complaining. Look I'm gonna put these away an I'll be back." she laughed and grabbed those bags like they were empty.

"Sorry I should've helped you while we were out there." I laughed. "Nah it's fine. Andrea gets a little excited when she sees friends." Jc said

"Well I'm glad I saw her. Not a lot of people liked me in high school." I laughed crossing my arms. "I find that hard to believe." Jc nudged me. "well believe it. Apparently blowing off the biggest party of the year and studying instead gets you excluded." I said walking over to the couch. Kian was on his phone and Jc followed.

"Well I'm glad you blew off the biggest party." he laughed. "Ya..." I trailed off with a smile. I felt a little better with Jc around. He made me laugh, I didn't really have a lot of friends in college. I being the youngest there and not really being a daredevil of drinking alcohol or going to sex parties.

No on Saturday nights you can find me in my dorm
watching a movie, listening to music, checking youtube or making video for youtube. But I don't mind I would much rather do that than risk my scholarship.

"Well you missed a hell of a night." We both looked up to kian. "huh?" I asked. "That night was the best night ever! That's what made high school amazing!" He laughed.

"Okay, sure whatever." I said "okay look we didn't all come into this living room to reminisce in high school memories." kian said "look what's the big idea of coming to my house unannounced?" He said.

"I didn't! I would've been just fine going to my apartment and never seeing you!" I said. "Well good luck trying to make me go back to you." he crossed his arms.

I stood up in disgust "Are you serious? Your so self centered! We broke up because you couldn't handle me being on the other side of the country! You wanted me to give up my scholarship to an amazing school just so I could be with you." he stood up now.

"Because I didn't wanna risk some other guy trying to pull you away from me! I was in love with you!" He shouted "Guys keep it down Andrea is upstairs!" Jc said

I got closer to kian "Well you didn't love me enough to let me enjoy that amazing opportunity! You know I felt guilty everyday because you were unhappy! I actually considered to fly out to your college!" "Well I'm glad you didn't! Glob, I forgot how annoying you were!" He yelled.

"Well I forgot how childish you were!" I yelled back "I forgot how stupid you sound!" He yelled "My glob why can't you just drop all of this?!" I yelled.

He grabbed my waist and kissed me. I heard a gasp behind us and turned around. "Andrea!" I said. She ran up stairs with tears down her face.

"No Andrea it wasn't what it looked like!" I jumped over the couch. "Stop!" Kian yelled. "Don't go near my girlfriend!" He shouted "If I don't she's gonna hate both of us! Jc hold him down!" I yelled as I ran up the stairs to her room.
