Chapter 26: hard decisions and an amazing view

I woke up the next morning to a groan. "huh?" I asked rubbing my eyes. I checked the time. It was 4:57 am.

I got up groggy and walked to where the noise was coming from. It was from Ally's room. I knocked and the groan got louder.

I opened the door and saw Ally curled up in a ball. "Ally?" I sat down next to her. "You okay?" I asked. "Ya. Is just my head hurts really bad..." my eyes grew wide.

That was probably from when she blacked out and fell on the floor. "Ally do you remember anything from a couple hours ago?" I asked.

"Um... I remember kissing a guy but I don't his face... He was kinda cute." Ally partly smiled. "why?" She asked. "Um well that guy was Ryan." I admitted.

"What? Oh my glob! Is he mad! I should apologize." she stood up and I grabbed her back down to the bed. "No, relax he's not mad... besides he needs some time to himself... Selena just broke up with him..." Ally gasped.

"No! But they were so good together... why?" She asked. "I don't really know all he said was she needed time for her music." I shrugged.

"Bullshit." Ally stated. "She put out 10 new songs when she met Ryan. Ryan understood when she needed to stay late at the studio and he never bothered her when she was writing music. He gave her a full 2 months without him because she was so stressed!" My eyes grew wide.

"I know those 2 months hurt him bad... he had to act like he didn't care... like he wanted to be away from her... when in reality he just wanted to run to her... kiss her, be with her..." I hadn't known this.

"Well what about you?" I asked. Ally jerked her head up at me. "What about me?" She replied. "You and Ryan?" I asked, "...I can't... I'm still working on my career and he just broke up with Selena..." Ally rubbed her arm and looked down at the floor.

"Ally..." I lifted her chin up. "I understand that your career comes first no matter what! And I'm proud of you for sticking by your decision for so long, I really am. But Ally... you're 21 years old! You haven't had a boyfriend for 5 years. I think it's time you take a break and go on a couple dates. Break put that bra with the lace lining and get your groove on." I brushed her hair behind her ear with a laugh.

"But, but I have a presentation for my new mascara, powder and Bronzer for my makeup line." she stood up. "That isn't until next month." I smiled.

"Oh ya... wait how'd you know that?" She asked. "I always keep up with your makeup line updates. And let me tell you that new blush you made is my favorite!" I squealed.

"Whoa, I didn't know that." she laughed "And thanks, it's my favorite too." she smiled. "Okay now back to business" I said. "Oh ya... well, I don't want to date Ryan so soon... plus if we break up wouldn't it be awkward." she shrugged.

"Well I'm sure Ryan wants some time to heal the wound, I know Selena was like his queen." I crossed my arms "Ya she was. Well if you know anyone you could set me up with it would help." she laughed.

"What? What about all those guy friends?" I asked. "Well those are coworkers and stuff, I don't wanna date someone I work with." I nodded. "True. Well I think I could know a few people. I'll make a few calls and get back to you." I patted her shoulder and walked to the door.

"Oh wait!" Ally yelled. "What?" I asked. "Do you mind telling Ryan? And getting me some ice for my head?" She asked.

"I'm sure Ryan would like to hear that from you... and I'll bring you the ice. But trust me, I'm sure he'll appreciate the honesty." I smiled and she nodded.

I walked to the living room and saw the balcony door was open. "What the?" I walked over as a breeze brushed by my arms. I looked out and saw the sun rise. "Whoa..." I said stunned.

"Pretty huh?" I quickly turned my head to see Ryan with a blanket around him and a cup of hot chocolate in his hand.

"Ya, rather beautiful." I leaned over the railing. "What are you doing out here? It's like 5 in the morning?" I asked. "I could ask you the same question." He took a sip from his cup.

"Touché, I woke up cause Ally was groaning cause her head hurt. I came over here to get her some ice. What about you?" He closed the balcony door.

"I couldn't sleep passed 3, I felt all pressured in the living room and came out here to think. Next thing I knew I was out here for an hour with hot chocolate in my hand." Ryan never drinks coffee, not since the time he went to Starbucks and a little girl threw up in his cup...

Ugh that would haunt me too...

"Oh, well I can go back inside if you still need some time." I said walking to the door. "No it's fine... But need I remind you it's friday..." My eyes grew wide.

I threw my hands on my head "What?! Where did the time go?! I still haven't decided!" I sat on the ground. Ryan set down his cup and rushed to me.

I started breathing faster and faster, my heart rate was going up by the second. "Nally breathe!" Ryan said. I was having a mini anxiety attack.

Ryan and I had them way back, we would call each other when we were having them and it helped, cause we had someone who knew what we were going through.

The attacks have lessened through the years and such but every so often I still have them, I know he does too.

Ryan ran and grabbed me some water and after a while I finally calmed down.

Ryan and I sat against the wall and stared out watching the sun climb higher and higher. "Hey..." I mumbled. "Hm?" He replied.

"You know how not a lot of people in high school liked us?" I questioned "How could I forget? Take the wrong turn down the wrong hallway and I would get my face punched in." he laughed.

"Isn't it weird that they're all like stuck in 9-5 jobs in a tiny cubical and were all jut out here right now? Traveled the US, half of Canada and parts of Europe?" I smiled.

Ryan out an arm around me. "That's called when the underdogs bite back." I laughed. We got up and I got Ally the ice. But when I walked into her room she was asleep.

I smiled and out the bag in the freezer incase her head still hurt. I made Ryan and I some omelets. While Ryan was eating his I walked to my room to check on Jc.

He was sitting on the edge of the bed running his eyes. I sat down behind him and rubbed his shoulders. "Mmm..." he smiled.

I kissed his shoulder and whispered in his ear. "I'm making some breakfast, you want anything?" He turned his head to me. "You?" He chuckled and kissed me.

"Well I'm sorry but I'm off the menu until tonight." I got up and winked at him. He laughed and chased me. He grabbed me up in his arms and kissed me again.

"No no no mister." I laughed and jumped from his arms and walked to the kitchen, purposely swaying my hips.

He groaned in a longing way. I laughed and grabbed some eggs for his omelet. He sat next to Ryan and they did a handshake.

They high fived, fist bumped and bumped elbows then saying "Ooo hit" then making the noise of fire going out and laughed.

I shook my head and laughed along with them. Once I served Jc his omelet Ally came in wobbly and sat down. I gave her some oatmeal as her usual with a side of toast and orange juice.

"Thank you peasant." Ally joked. "It was my honor madam." I said faking a British accent. We both laughed as I cleaned up the kitchen.

I heard my phone ring as I put away the eggs. I jumped when I heard it was Ethan's ringtone. "Fuck..." I said below my breath. "I got it." Jc said answering "NO!" I jumped to him but it was too late...
