Chapter 6: explanation

I pounded on Andrea's door. "Please Andrea let me explain!" I said "No! You betrayed me! I thought we were still friends!" She yelled.

"No it's not what it seemed I promise he kissed me!" I said "Psh sure! I trust kian not to do that!" I took a pause. It was silent.

I sighed and sat against the door. "Look Andrea, There's just something kian didn't tell you... " I can't believe I was doing this. "Back in high school... we dated. To be fair it was a large school. Not many people knew." I paused.

"But when it was time for college I was offered a scholarship in Florida, and kian came here... He wanted me to give up my scholarship to stay with him here. I couldn't do that... We tried it for about a year and something happened. We fought and called it quits... We couldn't concentrate in class, we worried about the other too much, we weren't having fun... We weren't happy with the situation and I didn't have enough money to fly back and forth and neither did he. I guess we ended off at a rough patch because we didn't speak a lot after that... actually not at all." I knew this must've hurt Andrea to find this out now. But she had to know.

"I didn't want to kiss him, if anything I was mad at him... I don't know where that kiss came from or why. But I hope you'd take my apology and we can try to be friends again... Like high school..." it was silent.

After a few moments I stood and sighed "Well... I'm sorry for wasting your time..." I said. "but before I go. Andrea you knew not many people liked me in high school but you were always there for me... No matter if someone teased you or anything yet you were still popular. I'm grateful for our past friendship... And again... I'm sorry..." I stood by the door for a few seconds before leaving.

I went down the stairs and grabbed my backpack. "Seems like I over stayed my welcome. I'll just walk to the apartment." I said with a weak smile.

"No Nally I can drive you that's too far to walk." Jc said "No really... I've caused enough trouble as it is." I looked up at kian and his face was red.

"Kian..." he looked up at me. I winced when we made eye contact. "Take care of her alright?" He was frozen. I smiled a bit, I couldn't believe I was already gonna be alone... my friends don't fly out for a while.

"Wait!" I heard. I quickly turned and saw Andrea at the top of the stairs. She quickly ran down and hugged me. I didn't say anything still in shock, as she released and I saw her mascara running.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have acted like I did... If you could, could you please explain to me the whole deal with you and kian?" I glanced at kian and he nodded, "of course. Why don't we come over to the couch?" Andrea nodded and we walked over.

"What are you gonna say?" Kian said grabbing my arm. I yanked it away. "I'm going to tell the truth. Kian I'm telling her something she should've known." Kian's eyes darted around my pupils.

"What she decides is her choice." I say walking away to the couch.
