Chapter 36

Jia Yee waited with Jia Jia in her room while their parents went back to the company to discuss the matter with Lao Shen.

Nana took care of them while spending bonding time with the two girls.

"I'm very glad you're both fine now." Nana smiled, patting Jia Jia's head and crushing Jia Yee in a bear hug.

"Thanks, Nana jie." Jia Yee grinned but Jia Jia was so deep in her thoughts she didn't even feel Nana patting her.

"Jia Jia... Hey Jia Jia! Are you alright?" Jia Yee asked, shaking her sister.

"Huh..? Oh um yeah I'm fine.." She trailed off. Jia Yee raised an eyebrow and gave her a knowing look, "Are you worried about papa and mama?"

Jia Jia looked hesitant to say what she thought but at last she sighed and nodded.

"Yeah. What are they going to do? Are they going to bring us back? I don't want to leave TF...." Jia Jia said, and since she was a emotionally weak girl, she immediately burst into sobs.

"Aww we don't want you to leave either." Nana smiled sadly as she pulled Jia Jia into a comforting hug.

"I- I've grown to love you all.. All as a family. I r-really can't bear to leave you all... I don't know what I'd do..." Jia Jia hiccuped.

There was a moment of silence then the three ladies burst into laughter, breaking the depression that was accumulating in the air.

Jia Jia continued hiccuping and couldn't stop it, even if her life depended on it.

Jia Yee was on her knees at the side of her bed, bubbling with laughter.

Jia Jia turned red with embarrassment and said, "Stop... Hic.... Laughing!!"

"I'm sorry but HAHAHA it's hard to HAHA stop!!" Jia Yee laughed.

Jia Jia pouted and glared at Jia Yee even though she had a smile on her lips.

Nana laughed along with them as she said, "I'm glad you both are laughing now."

Just as she said that, the door burst open.

TF boys and family came in.

"Whoa! I thought you guys were practicing?" Jia Yee asked, as Junkai walked to her side and slung an arm around her neck and pulled her into a warm hug.

Nana smiled at their cuteness as Yi Feng replied calmly, "Jia Yee, it's already 6pm. It's our time to rest."

"WHAT? SO FAST? IT WAS 3pm A MOMENT AGO!" Jia Yee stared at her watch and then stared again.

Junkai laughed and pinched her cheek, "So cute."

Qian Xi went beside Jia Jia and took her hands in his, "You okay now?"

"Yeap I'm fine."

"Good.. What did your parents say?" He asked again, rubbing his thumb back and forth comfortingly on Jia Jia's hand.

Jia Jia gripped his hands tightly as she mumbled, "I'm not sure.. They went to talk to Uncle Lao Shen. They'll be back soon probably."

Jia Jia made eye contact with Jia Yee as the latter stared back at her.

"Best case scenario: they leave us alone and let us continue being here. Worst case scenario: we are dragged back to our hometown." Jia Yee muttered, leaning back into Junkai's hug.

Zi Yu eyed them with jealousy building inside him. He tried to avert his eyes away and concentrated on the conversation instead.

Qian Xi sat down on the bed beside Jia Jia as Nana made space for them.

"Hopefully it's the first scenario." Yuan said, nodding thoughtfully.

Zhi Hong suddenly became a drama king and sobbed hysterically, "Please don't take Jia Jia away from me. She needs me and I need her."

"Oi." Yi Feng nudged Zhi Hong.

"Stop being so dramatic." Qian Xi rolled his eyes as he put a hand around Jia Jia's shoulders protectively. Zhi Hong started sulking.

Just then the door opened with a bang and in he came, with a dark face.
